Northgate

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: We stayed there because it was close to the University of WA. Everything was sold out except this. Now I know why.
Do not stay there! I believe they are renting rooms to the homeless. The lights kept shorting out, fridge didn't work, no maid service..... you have to pay extra, and the bedding was old. The front desk staff was low low class. Very inexperienced. There are BBQ's out front with people hanging out there and 2 old RV's in front. I parked my car in front of my window in case someone tried to break in. I expected a small continental breakfast..... nice try a granola bar and some coffee.

Needs some work but ok

Pros: Staff was outstanding! Location outstanding! Hotel looks clean and inviting. the surrounding area give concerns (RV,street and homeless)
Cons: Clean sinks better, add trash can to the room with kitchenette, get RV's off the street.
Location: See comments above. Location was outstanding! Close to what I needed. Traffic not bad at all. shopping center, restaurants were walking distance.
Staff was outstanding (Christina I think that was her name working the evening of Jun 13-15 2016 was really helpful, customer service was outstanding). Bathroom sink around the edge of the counter is nasty. there was hair in the bathtub. Only one trash can need at least 2 for the kitchenette one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen/living area. The person upstairs above me made noise most of the nights I had to call front desk, got worse the 2nd night until 2 or 3 am. I was really concerned when I turned the corner onto Stone Ave when I saw the 4 RV parked on the street. one independent on the shopping center side. But the three parked next to the parking lot of the hotel on the street that were all hooked to electricity in tandem from the suburban was really concerning. They kept to themselves. I was concerned about my car in the parking lot, but nothing happened. I know this issue is all over but it was a negative on the hotel. being this close to a shopping center is outstanding. I even walked to it to get food and shop. That was nice. homeless that were living in their car were really nice too. I would stay there again, but if I had children with me I would not.

Did not know that housekeeping is weekly...it's $5 for daily housekeeping. Understaffed and staff was not the most attentive to guest needs.

Not goof

I received a confirmation and a secondary email prompting me to check in online and I did. I flew into Seattle at 1:30am. Drove to the hotel 30 minutes from the airport. When I arrived, the front desk person (main function was laundry duty, she was not a front desk personnel) alerted me that there was no room for me due to overbooking. The hotel did not attempt to contact me at anytime to let me know that my confirmation and check in would not be honored.

Waar voor je geld.

Pros: Ligging en personeel
Cons: Zorgen dat de boeking de volgende keer wel doorgegeven wordt.
Location: Beetje achteraf, winkels en restaurants dichtbij. Makkelijk als je de Boeing fabrieken en Seattle zelf wil bezoeken.
Het hotel voldeed helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Grote kamer met kitchenette op de plek waar vanuit wij onze dingen wilden doen. Beetje achteraf, maar wel met een aantal restaurants en winkels op korte loopafstand. Vriendelijk personeel die een het probleem met de niet geregistreerde (of door Expedia vergeten) boeking voor ons oploste.

OK But Not Great

Pros: Clean room, attentive staff
Cons: They might consider having a refridgerated cabinet in the lobby stocking (for sale) items like TV dinners, ice cream, etc.
The Northgate Extended Stay America was okay but not great. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive but there were some "downsides." The "grab and go" breakfast ran out of Nature Valley bars and didn't get restocked but the fruit supply and the coffee was good. Seattle has a big homeless problem and we did not realize that some of the homeless were living in RV's parked on the street just outside the hotel. Not a security issue but, because you couldn't see around the RV's when pulling out of the hotel, it made exiting the hotel in the car a little hazardous (a couple of times as I was edging out a car sped around the RV's).

Clean on outside

Found black mold in toilet drawers in kitchenette and for clothing were filthy inside and the refridgerator seal needed replacing as well as the rust taken care of.

should a little cheaper

The rate is high compared to the service. Really bad breakfast and my room was too smelly. Sheets and towels look old and stained. The room was too dark.

Something went wrong

Pros: The wifi, cleanliness of room, size of room, modern feel, and amenities.
Cons: Communication between customer, travel site, and hotel!!! Also the staff could be much better.
Location: The location is SUPREME! Only ten minutes from University Village for shopping, 20 minutes from downtown.
First of all when I showed up there was some kind of confusion regarding payment. I don't know if this was the fault of expedia or the hotel but I looked through my transactions and found that it had been paid for in advanced and when I got to the hotel they made me pay again. Also, the woman we checked in with was not pleasant. She was being very accusing and despite the fact that I called and informed the hotel that I was going to be checking in late, she said she was never informed and made it quite clear that us checking in was going to be a huge inconvenience. Also, I had booked a smoking room and they had none available and our reservations said it was supposed to be a smoking room but their's showed it wasn't. I called expedia, very frustrated and all they could tell me was that it was supposed to be a smoking room and that they didn't show anything about a transaction but my bank statement seems different. On the other hand, after check in everything was great. Check out was easy, the room was very clean, large, and had many amenities. The wifi is fantastic!
