The Fountain at Redmond Town Center Fall part II Did you know Thailand has it's own style of ice cream? The chefs here couldn't find any in US, so they traveled to Thailand and learned how to make it themselves. The result: The creamiest, most flavorful coconut ice cream you can imagine. The Thai tea ice cream was tasty too, but not as creamy - it had a somewhat crumbly texture. Next time we'll be trying the lychee and longan flavors. Yum! Foggy morning are my favorite. #foggy Nice little spot :) The peacocks make an appearance at Garden d'Lights every year, so I'm not certain whether they are crafted anew each year, or just placed in storage. Either way, they are one of my favorite displays.
The show runs now through the end of the year, 5-10pm nightly. Get your $5 tickets ahead of time at http://www.gardendlights.org/. Dork Burger - blend of duck and pork meat, topped with Monterey jack cheese, onions and garlic mayo. What's that red sauce spilling out the side you ask? That's a helping of Satan's Tears ketchup (my own addition). Difficult to eat, but well worth the mess. One of my favorite all-time burgers. Flaming onion tower - a fun but pretty standard trick for a teppanyaki style dinner. Although the routine was standard, the food was quite tasty - my filet was perfectly cooked (medium-rare) and the shrimp were delicious. In combination with its fully stocked bar, this can be an entertaining evening out. Tater tot Impressive bar in this teppanyaki steakhouse, both in terms of liquors available and fanciful lighting. The drink menu had nearly 100 listings, and I made vigorous use of the iBartender app to evaluate my options. I ended up with a house special Bonzai followed by a Plantar's Punch, while my wife went for a flaming Red Bull (Red Bull, amaretto, and 151). Every December the botanical gardens are transformed into a light display that is amazing. Light flowers, plants, butterflies, you name it... it's all made of christmas lights!! it's D'light-ful!!! #localgem #colorful Alligator arrangement from Garden d'Lights. A number of critters are Unaju - A #delicious unagi donburi offering! I stopped by this place today before the foliage turn brown as the season gets ready for Fall. It is a great place to escape the city yet it is less than 10 minutes from the heart of Downtown Bellevue. Only the local residents maybe aware of this hidden treasure.
It is a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful walk or sit down admire nature has to offer. There are so many species of plants and floral that you just spend the whole afternoon. #LoveMyTown I stopped by this place today before the foliage turn brown as the season gets ready for Fall. Amaze balls. Or more accurately -- amaze bowls. • #Redmond #Cafes #Espresso #Acai #Brazilian I stopped by this place today before the foliage turn brown as the season gets ready for Fall. There are so many species of plants and floral that you just spend the whole afternoon. #LoveMyTown A delicious raspberry mocha. Not a big shop, but they have plenty of seats/tables (especially if the weather is good enough to sit outside) and will issue wi-fi codes to customers that allow access to their wi-fi for 1-2 hours. I also had a tasty tomatoey food item here last time. The Redmond Saturday Market always has delicious offerings! So one day I am driving to the gym and I can see in the distance red clouds and a beautiful rainbow, I greatly regret I didn't have my DSLR camera, but the iPhone did a great job. Samamish lake is perfect for a Sunday evening swim with your friends, clean and beautiful
#LifeAtExpedia Little gem super close to downtown Bellevue! It also has a suspension bridge and free entry! There are so many species of plants and floral that you just spend the whole afternoon. #LoveMyTown The Smoker Key West Pie milkshake, served in a beaker with a test tube spike of Midori Melon and Absolute Vanilla. A bit subtle on the key lime flavor, but the spike livened things up. Because doughnuts. Fun water spray playground for the kiddies. Spouting whales, sneezing dragons, spitting frogs and more. Water is on Memorial Day through Labor Day, 8am - 8pm. Nearby jungle gym forts, a climbing wall and grassy lawns complete the scene. Eastside's best gourmet burgers, fries and shakes at this tiny pub-inspired restaurant. The mushroom burger is fantastic and pairs nicely with a thick root beer shake. Trail from the dog park to Lake Sammamish. Our dogs love this place! Tasty tiramisu! It surprised me that a restaurant that's part of Crossroads Mall manages to remind people of cafes they've visited in Italy. Seems popular with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. One of the more flavorful offerings of this dish that I've had. Definite must-have if you want something a little bit more light, and are sharing. OMG this is Sooo delicious!!! It's an Acai energy bowl. Thought it would be like yogurt underneath but it's more like an ice cream/sorbet ... But it's all fruit so it's healthy, then toped with fresh fruit and granola...AMAZING!!!
#delicious Black Cod! (w/roasted grapes, winter greens, leeks, and tahini vinaigrette) #delicious #foodiefinds Firebread breakfast pizza; great stuff. Very nondescript exterior, you would never know this is such a great restaurant. Great breakfast and brunch spot. Try the Matcha Green Tea Blast with Energy Boost. Safe caffine boost as coffee, but tastes like ice cream! Super new spot! As in Tonkatsu Ramen!!! Gluten free pepper steak. Yummy yummy and #delicious !! Beautiful !! Ride or watch fast cyclists race on it. The wealthiest band of computer nerds ever (and I mean that as a compliment). How many do you recognize? Mmm, Saturday Market! The salted caramel cupcake is my personal fave! Yum! Sweet & Sour Crispy Fish. Delish. Buff Pops - three tasty fritters stuffed with jalapeño and cream cheese, and served in a pool of buffalo sauce. The vineyard is another annual display at the Garden d'Light show. The Shrimp and Pork Dumplings Tiny little park for a little piece of mind. #reflection #lake I stopped by this place today before the foliage turn brown as the season gets ready for Fall. Dynamite shrimp for happy hour Rainy November day in Redmond. My favorite spots in this parking lot are the Whole Foods for food, and Peet's for coffee/tea. Both have free wifi. The roast duck curry is amazing, and I love the way the tomatoes and lychees pop in my mouth. This is a slightly upscale Thai restaurant and a bit pricier than your corner Thai joint, but everything we've tried here has been top notch. Wisteria Lane at the Garden d'Light show. Honestly, it looks better in person - a static picture just doesn't do it justice.
The show runs now through the end of the year, 5-10pm nightly. Get your $5 tickets ahead of time at http://www.gardendlights.org/. Do Recommend: Stone Korean Restaurant's half-spicy/half-regular fried chicken. Polish candy!! They also sell a bunch of other stuff, but I decided to focus on the candy because I have more childhood memories linked to candy than meat, cheese, caviar, etc. ;) (I guess these are or were super popular in Russia.) Dry Ribs! Nice place to walk around. Not as peaceful as it looks, though.... Kids were running to this swing when I took this photo. ;) Sweet chili salmon is quite #delicious ! So many options! I went in because I wanted to check out this new(ish) place and enjoy one #beer. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 Oops? Idylwood Beach from above. We visited Marymoor Park on a foggy early morning in Fall. A view toward the North The showy spikes of torch lily blossoms(kniphofia) Pickin' and a grinnin' at the Redmond Saturday Market. One of the best farmers markets in the Seattle area. Races during the summer are on Mon, Weds, and Fri! Birthday dinner!! Had an incredible miso ramen and a nice cold Asahi Super Dry. My favorite! Pig Ears! Tasty gelato and cute coffee in a ridiculously costa Mesa like setting. Locally owned gourmet ice cream company makes a number of summer festival stops around the Pacific Northwest, including last weekend's Strawberry Festival in Bellevue. If you don't find them at the fair, you can pick up hand-packed pints at local grocers such as Central Co-op's Madison Market or Whole Foods. Best spot for burgers, shakes and fun cocktails (many made with Tang or Kool Aid) in Bellevue. A bit outside the main shopping district, but plenty of free parking in the garage. Open till 11pm. TJ's - best grocery stores on the planet!! Cute bacon, sunny side up egg, and pancake stuffed animals can be yours at the Redmond Saturday Market. The flower garden at Garden d'Lights. Each flower is hand crafted from standard holiday lights by volunteers each fall.
The show runs now through the end of the year, 5-10pm nightly. Get your $5 tickets ahead of time at http://www.gardendlights.org/. Nice park for a walk. We saw some chickens! Sadly most of the farm animals were hiding/indoors this time, so we didn't see any goats or horses or pigs. Waffle cone and yogurt buried under fixins. Is this heaven? :) Decision tree UI ... The Peanut Butter Cup cupcake. My wife's fav for her birthday. Good vanilla lattes. Unfortunately the place is cash only and has no wifi :( It's always fun browsing thru old records. Great place for books, too! Pork Rice with Sausage and Fried Egg. Yummy. Not used to this chirashi presentation... happy to Bread pudding! #delicious #foodiefinds Delicious hot pot! This is the seafood hot pot soup with onion broth. It includes shrimp, fish, tofu, corn and veggies. Perfect for a rainy day! #lifeatexpedia Toward the south overlooking Lake Sammamish. Hobbit hole here in Bellevue. This was taken last night from the parking lot of Lake Hills Baptist Church in Bellevue “The day before the Super Blue Blood Moon” Classic! Many of the rooms have nice views. This is from the 4th floor of the South tower. Why is it that a $4 ear of roasted corn tastes so good on a nice summer day? I'll typically wait out a 30-minute line for one of these buttery treats, but as fortune would have it the Crossroads Strawberry Festival wasn't so crowded this year and we had our corn in under a minute. Check it out at the next festival, and don't forget to apply the seasoning. Yum. Just, yum. Try the buttermilk biscuit with butter and jam too! The crispy garlic chicken is tasty and fun. The chicken has a honey glaze on it and it's served with fried basic leaves. It's also not too spicy, if you are looking for dish to dial it down. Sangria! Enormous selection of wine, spirits and beer. A bit difficult to navigate the wine, given the layout. For example, why is there no Pinot Grigio in the Italian white section? Well, because at the back of the store is a large Pinot Grigio section! Best to grab a map or ask directions if you can't find something, cause chances are they have it on the premises.
I still prefer the wine selection at Pete's in downtown Bellevue, but at least we now have a decent beer selection on the Eastside (2500 to choose from). The FPH special! Heart is back in the Seattle area! Marymoor Park concerts are layed back and great! Fun new bouncy house place at Crossroads Mall...but it's more than bouncy houses! Lots of moving parts including Pork Wonton Soup Scenic trail near downtown
