The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel within walking distance or the monorail to many Seattle's main attractions. It is a classic older hotel that has been kept in great shape and is appointed with all modern conveniences and features

Pros: Beautiful, clean, friendly staff, great downtown location
Cons: Nothing in our experience
Location: Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, theaters and galleries.
Everyone who we encountered during our stay was so friendly and welcoming, and when they found out why we were here (for The Million Women's March in Seattle) they were excited for us!! We had a great lunch at Shuckers and a delicious breakfast in the Georgian Room. it was the perfect place for us to stay!

This was a surprise for my wife when she got back from the east coast..The entire staff from phone, valet, bell, front desk, concierge, to in room dining were amazing! Made our stay with some special plans turn out just as I wanted. They even made sure that champagne was ready and my wife's favorite album was playing when we opened the door to our sweet.

We had an amazing two night stay at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle. The lobby is magnificent and was made even more so by the 20 ft Christmas tree decorated for the holidays with enormous ornaments which our daughter loved. Our room was elegant but comfortable.... great bed. The indoor pool and hot tub were a welcome adventure for our 6 yr old in the middle of winter. Loved breakfast down stairs in their elegant restaurant.... service was friendly and welcoming but very professional. We would not hesitate to stay here on our next trip to Seattle.

Location: The location is perfect. Easy access from I-5 and within walking distance to a large number of Seattle's tourist attractions and great restaurants.
Always a pleasure to stay at the Fairmont! The customer service is second to none and the staff always make you feel welcome and special. We were upgraded to a newly renovated room and it was beautifully modern with old work elegance. The bed is extremely comfortable and the feather down pillows are the best...ordering some up for home!

Pros: Rooms are great and proximity to all that downtown Seattle has to offer is great. Staff in general are very eager to help and pleasant to speak with.
Cons: More professional and friendly wait staff in lounge & restaurant.
Fifth or Sixth time we've stayed at the Fairmount Olympic. The update to the rooms are excellent and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. Front desk and room staff are very professional and second to none. The only thing keeping my rating from being perfect is the wait staff in both the lounge and Shucker's Restaurant. The service was adequate at best and with a true 4-star hotel I would expect more. Additionally I found that the bill for cocktails was very hard to understand. I was charged $12 for bourbon then another $4 for making it an old fashioned. A weird and confusing way to bill. This didn't carry across to the room service staff who were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a posh weekend in Seattle however my suggestion would be to drink and dine off-site.
