"Great location and nice, comfortable place to stay"
We enjoyed being within walking distance to Seattles main attractions. Staff was very curtious and the room was comfortable and clean. I was satisfied with amenities provided by the room as well. I was a little disappointed by room service. It took over an hour to get our dinner and when it arrived, the kitchen made a mistake (easily fixable by us) and the guy who brought our meals had forgotten to bring us ketchup and mustard for the burgers we ordered. So more waiting until we could eat and we were big hungry after a day of sight seeing with our busy toddler.

"Nice older hotel in great Seattle neighborhood"
Great historic hotel in Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Walking distance to many restaurants and about 0.5 miles from a beautiful overlook of the city (Kerry Park). Had complimentary breakfast in on-site restaurant (bagel and yogurt). Rooms were spacious and clean. About a 10 minute drive to downtown Seattle.

"Great location "
I had a very pleasant stay at The Ballard Inn. I was a little skeptical of the shared bathrooms but I had no problems. The Ballard area was beautiful with lots to do within walking distance.

"Convenient stay for sporting events"
The hotel is a 15 minute walk to Husky stadium. It's right on University Street so many restaurants and shops are nearby. The building is old but in good condition, and the room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly as well. Parking was the only difficulty we had, but we found an overnight parking garage on campus. If you don't plan to be in your room much and need a clean, convenient place to stay, the College Inn is great.

"Not ready for prime time."
We had a beautiful room. The hotel is eclectic and the bed comfortable. A couple of cons..there is no coffee or glasses in the room. No one told us where to get coffee in the morning. Secondly, there was a lot of noise. At least where we were. Which is odd. It was Sunday night. I think our room was above a place where staff go to smoke. They probably had no idea we were right above them. Someone came by and asked that they quiet down. First thing Monday morning--construction noise. We ate at the tavern---mixed reviews here. I had the game hen, which was decent (kind of small), but the risotto was so dry, I felt it necessary to mention it to the waiter. The apple tart dessert, however, was divine. Breakfast was consistent, not wow, but good portions and taste. I think if they work on refining their cuisine, and not put visitors near the construction zone or where they take ciggy breaks at 4 am, they are onto something. I hope they don't just rely on the McMenamins name to carry them, because that cans only go so far..
