Our stay here got off to a rocky start, and never recovered.
Here's what happened ... shortly before our trip started, we had to make an emergency change to our travel plans and bring our 5 y.o. daughter along with us. So, naturally I checked the website to see if there was an extra bed. BE CAREFUL when you check out this site, because they confusingly intermix multiple different apartments in the photos. I saw a queen bed behind a sliding door, and a queen bed in the living room, so I though we were fine.
Then, when we actually arrived at 6pm last Monday, it was a tiny apartment with only one bed, and absolutely nothing for my daughter to sleep on. That's when the second issue started ...
I tried calling customer service and you know what? They didn't answer the phone. Instead, I got a text message from the number I was calling as I was calling it. So I wrote back and requested a live person twice. All I got was "sorry, I can't talk right now. What's your issue?" I couldn't tell if the customer service was a bot or a real person, but I needed someone to talk to and this felt so sub-par. Especially for $250/night.
So then I spend 1.5 hours going to Target and back to get a $90 blow up air mattress and sleeping bag. The apartment doesn't even have a spare blanket in case anyone gets cold or needs the couch.
I also texted and emailed the owner, who offered to talk but then never followed through twice. Be very cautious or have low expectations, that's what I'd say.
