Good hotel, great price

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: The room, the shower.
Cons: Bed size
The hotel is good, staff is friendly. My only complaint is about bed size, it could be bigger.

Great Location Combined With Great Value

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Great value, comfortable, clean rooms.
Cons: Cooling of A/C
Location: Good walking, on site restaurant.
We were looking for a hotel to stay at the night before our cruise departure from Pier 91. Anything downtown was pretty pricey so we tried looking a little further out of town. The Red Lion was less than half the price of our preferred downtown hotel. There was good walking but not a lot of shopping, which was fine with us. The room was clean and comfortable, top notch. The only thing we could comment on was the A/C could have cooled the room more but other than that, no complaints. We decided to give the hotel restaurant (Jonah's) a try for dinner. Great food, healthy portions and good value. And our breakfast next day was included! And a buffet breakfast to boot. And it was only 15 minutes drive to the cruise ship terminal parking at Pier 91. If we're ever back in Seattle again, we'll stay at the Red Lion.

Average hotel - below average staff

Posted May 31, 2017
Average hotel, great for the price. Hotel staff was unpresentable, rude and made it clear with body language that she didn't want to be there / help us. I know everyone had a bad day from time to time. But as a front desk staff member you're job is to make your guests feel comfortable. Being friendly and approachable is key. Walking in to a hotel and your first experience - being greeted by front desk staff and being checked in, has a great deal to do with how comfortable you will feel during your stay. Room was clean and was what I expected.

Hotel of last resort!!

Posted May 30, 2017
Cons: needs to be updated and cleaned better
Wall paper missing from walls, stains on the floor, right next to a very loud freeway. Everything is very old and beat up including the furniture.

Older motel; could use some upgrades.

Posted May 27, 2017
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Could stock plastic glasses in bathroom; we used coffee cups.
Location: Botanical garden & trails in park were good. Kirkland lakefront was nice.
Staff turnover caused some room cleaning & supply issues. Maintenance staff effective and readily shuttled passengers to in town sites. Breakfast hearty & the staff were very good. Meeting rooms outside our room were a bit noisy at their arrivals.

Nice staff. The property is well maintained. The rooms have the older style popcorn ceiling, however rooms are updated, clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is very good. Shuttle to nearby shopping made for easy drop off and pickup. The Expedia rate made the experience even nicer.

Excellent Seattle Area Hotel

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Close to both Seattle and Bellevue. The convenience of a motor inn but it is actually a polished hotel on a lovely property.
Cons: The only issue I had was a loose faucet knob in the shower/tub. Upon reporting this issue, it was very quickly resolved.
Location: Only a 10 mile drive to Seattle (bridge traffic pending), but close to shopping/dining/entertainment options in Bellevue, and easy freeway access.
I first stayed in this hotel at age 7, which was my first Red Lion Hotel chain experience; I've stayed in many in the years that followed. This hotel was excellent - comfortable with beautiful grounds, though still easily accessible akin to a motor inn. The free breakfast every morning is excellent and satisfying.
