Convenient to SeaTac Airport; Affordable

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Convenience to SeaTac Airport.
Cons: Peacefulness could be improved
Easy drive to airport; 11 minutes at 6am. Room was noisy; people in the hall all night. Lots of car/truck/motorcycle noise all night. Room had holes in headboard walls from previous installation. Door had huge gap on bottom edge; hence any hallway noise came right through. Not nearly enough lighting in room; no overhead lights.

Posted May 15, 2017
Came here because Im familiar with a red lion and it had a pool that looked very nice on Expedia's website. Arrived and pool was empty and the area dirty, room was very low quality, dirt and mildew in bathroom, worst room I've ever stayed at associated with red lion

I am so sorry you did not have cleaner accommodations. Our pool was being prepared to open by Memorial Weekend, however, it was open prior. We are renovating, and hope you will consider us in the future. Thank you for letting me know.

Great location for our needs

Posted May 3, 2017
Everyone associated with this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Greeted everyday and made to feel they were happy we were there. A problem with our room was immediately ! rectified and we were upgraded to a suite style room! We will stay at the Red Lion again in the future.

Not the best, not the worst.

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Pros: It was clean and staff was friendly.
Cons: Bathroom toilets and proper, updated room windows.
Location: I stayed here because I was passing through and wanted to go to the Ikea store. The hotel is only a few minutes away.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. My only complaints were the room window did not shut tight and therefor the parking lot noise drifted in too easily. And the bathroom toilet was not suitable for a hotel room. It is a commercial toilet like you find in a store or school. Very unattractive and noisy. I could hear the toilet upstairs flushing early in the morning. The hotel is old and outdated but again, clean. You get what you pay for.

Hours of lost sleep

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Poor windows allowed in road noise, people talking in the hot tub and I was on the fifth floor. Wind blew through the window like I was still on the Alaskan tundra. Hotel needs a remodel and don't go cheap on the windows this time your next to a highway.

Not Nearly Enough Handicap Parking + other issues

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: Nothing! And Red Lion due to the lack of good customer service from the front desk Mom & I had a scream match b/c she didn't want me going to the mgr
Cons: More handicap parking. Do you think that everybody is able bodied. To my count there were only 3 or 4 spots. I didn't understand that.
Location: Yankee Grill restaurant food was awful. Mom & I stayed at Red Lion because she needed a safe place to stay leaving a domestic violence situation.
April 20th Mom & I are guests at the Red Lion Renton. We returned from dinner at the IHOP since the hotel restaurant Yankee Grill has real terrible food! When we returned from dinner at around 7-7:30PM there were no handicap parking spots near the side entrance. This caused my Mom severe agitation here's why: She has C.O.P.D. She is on a portable oxygen tank She has severe chronic back, leg, shoulder, hand pains also severe arthritis She simply cannot walk far without passing out I did my best to calm her. She parked her Jeep in the hotel carport in front of the main entrance, then went inside to talk with the women at the front desk. What Mom wanted to ask was where there any other additional handicap parking. Here was the interaction between what Mom said & the front desk staff (don't know which one interacted with her) Mom: Do you have any additional parking handicap close to the hotel entrance? Hotel Staff: No (monosyllabic) Mom: I need to park closer Now it was during this time that the front desk staff was most uncooperative in providing help for my Mom. From what my Mother told me it seemed to me that the front desk staff person just didn't want to be bothered. How come my Mother gets treated awful by Red Lion just because she is disabled + elderly. To me it seemed like the front desk staff was pretty intolerant. Here is why She is 76 years old Has enormous health issues. Sorry if she doesn't look like actress Sharon Gless.
