good location.

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: room appearance
Location: theaters and dining very convenient.
With the ongoing construction in the area, not easy to get to nor very appealing views. Room needed some tlc, frayed carpets and window dressings.

Thank you for staying with us and your feedback. I am sorry that the construction was a problem for you. In general it is not an issue but at times it might back up the traffic or look a bit disorderly. We are in the process of redoing all guest rooms and I do hope that on your next visit we will have a new one for you. Rene Neidhart

Pros: Aveda products in the bathroom!
Cons: Offering free internet connection would be very nice.
We had a great three nights at the Renaissance Seattle. We enjoyed the complimentary apples upon check in and fresh fruit and vegetable ice water in the lobby as well as bottled water in the room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean.

Wouldn't stay here again

Posted Aug 5, 2015
For starters, we arrived at 3:15 (check in is at 4) and they told us there weren't any rooms available yet. Really? A massive hotel like this and no rooms available. After raising some questions, the 2 rooms that we booked suddenly became available. Walked into one of the rooms to find an empty condom wrapper on the floor and the carpet was wet as if someone had just gotten out of the shower. Not happy. The other room was okay but it had a lot of traffic noise from the busy highway. After putting our bags down we then went to the front desk to see if there were any other rooms available and saw the same gentleman that checked us in. He told us there was nothing else available and all of the other rooms had already been taken. Again, by this time it was 4:30ish and you're telling me that all other rooms have already been checked in?? I don't think so. All in all a bad experience and I won't be staying at this hotel again. The rooms were just ok, quite small and the traffic noise was very unpleasant. I also find it a bit ridiculous that you spend hundreds on a room for a night and you don't even get free wifi. Wifi was some ridiculous charge of $12.95 per night, really??? What a joke. Oh and don't forget the $40 for parking.

Nice hotel, close to city center

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Within walking distance of the city shopping district and pikes place/waterfront. Bit of a steep walk to pikes place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large room, very clean. There is a bit of road noise in the front rooms next time I'll get a room at the rear.

BAD experience!! I booked this hotel reservation with 'no name until completed paid'. I need a room for myself, my 21 year old son and 16 year old son. So I contacted Expedia at least TWICE, BEFORE I book the room, asked about the room/bed size since both of my sons are adult size. Expedia agent keep telling me that there should not be any problem for three adults. At my arrival at the hotel on 07/19, they told me that they have only 1 king bed or two double beds rooms, and they do not (never) provide any roll away bed. I have no choice but took two double beds room. The double bed does NOT fit two adults at all. PLEASE TRY YOURSELF. I ended up slept on the floor for the entire night!!! It is very uncomfortable. This is not what I expected from Expedia for taking care your customers.

Good place to stay

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Nice room and breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Don't charge for WiFi
Location: Walking distance to tourist attractions along the waterfront. There is a big hill to climb on the way back to the hotel from the waterfront area.
The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was well appointed and clean. I was annoyed by the excessive fee for WiFi since there was no Ethernet plug available in the room. The only problem with my stay was when the A/C in my room failed at 11:00pm. I couldn't go to sleep until the maintenance staff replaced the A/C unit. But they did replace it relatively quickly, so I can't complain too much.
