Wonderful hotel in a restful, pastoral setting.

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: The peaceful, natural setting, convenient location, good breakfast selection, comfortable room.
Cons: I can't think of a thing that needs improvement,
Location: The location is great for access to shopping, restaurants, freeways, arterial to other parts of Seattle.
I had the most restful, comfortable room. The grounds are beautiful and the whole setting makes for a peaceful time when one is away from home. The staff were all so helpful, going out if their way to help me. I will always come back to Talaris when I am visiting Seattle.

Close to UW campus - convenient but expensive

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Location, wooded area, breakfast and the staff
Cons: A little on the expensive side
Location: UW campus!
Stayed two nights when I had to visit UW campus. Hotel is about a mile from campus on a beautiful wooded area. It is almost hard to believe that you are in the middle of the city. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. I had to print, scan and email some documents and they were super helpful. The breakfast was adequate and has enough selection to get the day started.

Talaris appreciates your taking the time to comment on your experience. Our location is in the heart of the University District, yet, as you mentioned, set off the main street in a nice secluded wooded area. Our staff takes pride is providing world class customer service. Our price point is competitive with other Seattle hotels, yet we do not charge for parking. We hope you found this to be a benefit. Please join us again the next time you are in Seattle.

Quiet and convenient to UW.

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: The convenience of parking and ease to drive to UW and University District.
This hotel was very quiet, and is tucked away in a beautiful setting. Although the place is a bit old, it was clean and very convenient to the UW students we were visiting.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on Talaris. There is an old saying; “Location. Location. Location.” We are close to UW, the Village and many restaurants and entertainment venues in the area. We are proud of our natural setting. We hope you had a chance to sit back and view our resident eagles that live near our pond. We also have bicycles available to borrow, at no cost, to explore the area up close and personal.

The location of this hotel is wonderful, however the facility really needs refurbishing.

We appreciate your taking the time to review your stay with us. We do pride ourselves on our wonderful staff and surroundings. We are working to add amenities and extras in a fashion that doesn’t force us to raise our price point. We are growing! We would like you to keep us in mind for all your future accommodation needs.

A localização, excelente. Tem uma parada de ônibus na esquina que vai até downtown.

Unique Location

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: There was a lot of scenery and walking trails.
Cons: We missed a hair dryer in the room. It was not luxurious but very comfortable for us.
Location: Talaris is located off Sandpoint Way, just a short distance from University Village for shopping and dining.
Lovely place to stay. Uniquely situated on 18 wooded acres, it is a quiet "oasis" near the UW facilities. An eagle pair caught everyone's attention near a pond. This location caters to conferences and meetings most often a- pparently, but is entirely suitable for couples or small families.

Thank you for your comments. We can host a variety of functions at our property, but our main focus is guests satisfaction, no matter the event. Please consider our property for your meetings, retreats, or just for fun! Many trails to walk, or use our complimentary bikes to take yourself around the property. It is not to be missed. We hope to see you again. Barbara Rush

Peace and quiet near the U District

Posted Apr 11, 2015 on Hotels
This was my third visit here. A quiet restful setting to be sure and close to the U of Wash and Children's hospital. The breakfast was plentiful and the atmosphere was pleasant. Nothing fancy but a quiet respite from home while on business. A family would probably find much to do here.

Thank you for being a repeat guest. That is what we strive for. Your comments of the quiet setting is very much appreciated. It is one of the strong points of our facility. Tranquil and serene. We do hope to see you again in the near future. Don’t forget to survey our grounds that house a pair of eagles and many ducks in the pond. We also have bikes to loan for those that want to explore the grounds and surrounding area even further

Wonderful responsive staff, incomparable situation

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: nearly everything
Cons: individual thermostats in certain rooms. Some have them, all should.
Location: Restaurante, walking, really close to Univerity Village -- a 17 minute walk leisurely on the Burke-Gilman trail.
Quiet green place in the middle of a city. Eagles and ducks.

Thank you for your comments…short and sweet. We love our eagles and ducks that can be seen nearly anytime of the day from the property. Our location affords us a tranquil setting, although only a short walk from the hustle and bustle of University Village shopping and dining. We are happy to direct you to any needs you may have off property! Please come again.
