Great Location!

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: The décor, the rooms, the food were all great!
Cons: Better coffee :)
Location: Perfect location. Walking distance to Pike's Place Market and the Space Needle. About 20 minutes from the airport.
We came to Seattle for the weekend and couldn't be happier with our hotel choice. The location was perfect for us. Walking distance to Pike's Place Market and the Space Needle. The hotel had an awesome lounge with a great view! We also have a dog and the hotel was very accommodating. They even put a dog bed and dishes in the room for us! If we go back to Seattle we will definitely be staying here again.

Upscale hotel, close to everything

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: Appreciated the hotel holding my bags allowing me to maximize my sight seeing before my flight.
Location: Easily walkable to Pike Place Market, Chihuly Museum, outdoor sculpture park, SAM, etc.
I had a great stay as a single-woman traveler. I was able to walk to everything I had time to see. The staff was outstanding and the bar area was very cozy to hang out and plan the day's/night's activities. Exceptional bonus was running into an old friend. While disappointed to have received a ground floor room right next to the elevator, the king-sized bed, water view and anticipation of that bathtub convinced me that the overall little time I'd spend there was not worth asking to move.

Fabulous, cozy, lodge-like atmosphere that you almost don't want to leave to see the sights. Imagine the softest sheets on a comfy bed, with a charming little sitting area. Put on the hotel robe and relax in an arm chair next to the gas fire available at the flip of a switch. Snuggle your toes into the giant teddy bear foot stool, while gazing out the balcony window at the sound and the mountains beyond. Bliss!

Awesome stay

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: The history; The character; The staff; The location; The fireplace in the room
Cons: A microwave in the room would be nice
Location: We are walkers so just about everything is nearby. The Space Needle is walkable (albeit uphill) as is the Public Market, aquarium, wheel and ferrys
The Edgewater is a terrific hotel located right on the water in Seattle. Our room was amazing - we watched the ferry boats and Seagulls every day and even saw a seal out our window one morning. The staff was wonderful, the restaurant excellent and the free shuttle to nearby attractions was helpful and very convenient. Our stay was over New Years and the Edgewater does really well in winter. With a fireplace in the room and in many locations around the hotel it has a real "lodge" feel. Add in the history and we had just a great time.

On the Waterfront

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Pros: Very comfortable, warm and convenient. Did not rent a car, easy access to Pike Place market and ferries by hotel shuttle Perfect, we want to go back
Cons: Zero, like it just the way it is
Location: Perfect location access to ferries, Pike Place by hotel shuttle
Wonderful views, very comfortable rooms. Staff great, friendly and eager to get things done. Lovely lodge view room for coffee and reading. Great bar and restaurant. Want to return

Unique Seattle experience

Posted Jan 1, 2017
Pros: Being literally on the water - on a pier. Cozy Northwest cabin feel.
Cons: The halls need refreshing with lighter colors. Everything is heavy and dark
Location: Walking distance to Pikes Place and all the attractions on the wharf level.
Usual location on a pier right on the waterfront in Seattle. They take full advantage of the location to create excellent public spaces facing the water. The unique Northwest decor (plaid and lots of wood) puts the exclamation point on Edgewater experience. The rooms are well appointed, if small but the halls are dreary and need an update. The accessible ramp on my floor was so steep as to be unusable. Amenities seem to be the new 'pillow menu'. Everything from enough food for the weekend to a teddy bear stock the room. It's all for sale and quite alluring. The restaurant serves lots of salmon and crab, of course, in well crafted dishes. All in all, I will stay at the Edgewater again. It's become my new favorite Seattle find.

Good location but not impressed with service

Posted Dec 31, 2016
After a mix-up during check-in, we were offered vouchers for a free breakfast. I was told they would be delivered to our room. The vouchers never showed up, which made for a very empty gesture. Overall, our room was much more expensive than the advertised Expedia rate.

Great view and loved the fireplace

Posted Dec 28, 2016
Pros: Location, view, coziness, cleanliness
Cons: Better overnight parking rates
Location: Great location for Seattle Center, Belltown & Pike Place Market access.
Valet overnight pricing is a bit ridiculous, so I parked next door for about half price. Check in was quick and easy, room was perfect (fireplace, clean, great view) room service and check out were a breeze. It's a great location for a good walk to Pike Place Market or Seattle Center.
