Great hotel close to Sedona

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Quiet, clean, friendly staff, ideally situated 10 mins out of Sedona.
Cons: The wifi signal is not very good but then we were there to vacation and not get lost in technology.
Location: 10 minutes outside of Sedona. Plenty of eateries. Hiking nearby if that is what you like.
This is a older style resort hotel (in the Village of Oak Creek - 10 mins from Sedona) which they are currently making improvements to. We had a one bedroom apartment which had a kitchenette including full sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, small dishwasher and a small table with two chairs. It was on the ground floor and overlooking one of the pools. It was very clean and the linens were good. Pool towels were provided and there was a safe in the closet. The pool (the quiet one with no basketball ball net) was beautifully maintained and wonderful to swim in. There was also a spa which we tried and it was very enjoyable. We arrived at 8pm on a Monday evening. Check-in was quick and we went straight to our room. As many have said before, this is a sort of timeshare resort (it operates on you buying points to be able to use properties at different locations). When we checked in at 8pm the concierge was not there so we bypassed being informed about any freebies you would get for attending a sales meeting. We never had reason to visit the reception area again. We did have messages left on our room phone and chose to ignore them. We were left with a leaflet on our door the day before leaving telling us about other properties we could stay at if we bought points. Again, we ignored this. At check-out, the concierge was there and gave us a 30 second spiel about the timeshare points. We politely declined and went on our way. We were not harassed in any way.

Wish I could have stayed longer.

It was the least expensive room on my trip and by far the nicest. If I had known in advance I would have planned to stay an additional night.

Across from the Red Rocks in great, quiet location

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: Not a thing
Location: Red Rocks hiking very close, little restaurants, great breakfasts at Miley's, convenience stores and interesting galleries
Really great hotel with informative, helpful staff. Felt quite different to be in the Village of Oak Creek rather than the main Sedona west or shopping precinct area. Much nicer, yet in vicinity were lots of great little shops and restaurants.Very impressed with the cleanliness throughout the hotel area. Rooms large, very well appointed and delightful. Very thoughtful that the pool was closed at 9.00 pm. Made for peaceful late evenings, especially if a guest has to rise early. Third visit, and would return there numerous times. Would highly recommend Miley's in the Village for great breakfasts and family friendly staff.

Timeshare rental

Posted Jun 23, 2017
We booked for 3 nights, we learned on arrival that there would be no housekeeping service and there is a $10 per day resort fee. So - pay more and get less. The room is a nice studio - king bed, small fully stocked kitchen, sofa, etc. Very nice, clean and spacious. They take the opportunity when they can to draw you into the timeshare presentation, everyone there is a salesman. They don't enforce their 9PM quiet time rule. Loud outside party till midnight one night. Overall, a nice place and an enjoyable stay. I recommend it, but personally I won't use Expedia anymore. Hiding a resort fee in fine print on page 2 is just misleading and deceitful.

Good value if on an expedia deal

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Pros: Room decor location ambience
Very good since i only paid $65 plus the resort fee since i had expecia deal. Studio room meant i could prepare a meal for the first time in weeks and was very well equipped. Pool was great and a staff member gave me some good tips on places to see (he wasnt an official guest adviser). Reception staff are a bit over the top with the greeting and of course you get a voucher if you buy into time share but no-one hassled. Is a few miles south of sedona but a good town for sightseeing and shopping fir groceries etc and much less busy.

Hotel staff were very friendly but wanted to sign me up for timesharing experience. Facilities were nice, outside of mainstream - so quiet. Bell Rock almost across the street - nice hike/walk. New plaza South.

GOOD VALUE FOR SEDONA

Posted May 23, 2017
Pros: convenience
Cons: rooms could be brighter
Location: it's convenient to all Oak Creek and only minutes up to Sedona proper and all the tourist attractions
We have stayed here several times. It's a good value for Sedona.
