A little underwhelmed
The good: The location is great, right on oak Creek. The bed was comfy. The not so great: Even though I had booked the reservation in June, somehow it was double booked, and I didn't get the Creek view I wanted. The Wi-Fi was spotty. There was something weird going on with the drains. A couple times each day, the started gurgling. It was actually sucking air into the drain. The grounds by room 23 could stand to be swept/blown out. After 2 nights, the front door area was a leaf strewn mess. For what we paid, I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Loved the jacuzzi tub and the beautiful surroundings. Went down to the creek. Staff was amazingly prompt and helpful!

Beautiful property, we have stayed before and it did not disappoint. We would highly recommend this property! The outside seating with a TV was wonderful, the weather was perfect!

In need of a lot of TLC
The hotel was very old and not updated. My friend cut his hand on the screen door. We had no ice bucket. When we did get one from the front desk, we had to hike down the hill to get ice. Inside was old...would not use the hot tub. And the hotel was not close to anything but the Diary Queen.

Mediocre at best!!!
The receptionist at check in was not personable or helpful, despite an email we received prior to check in regarding early and late check outs. Was hard to get into our room, was told it's just like any other hotel room key. It's not. Very snippy, so much so that the maid was embarrassed for us. She was very helpful; however, hadn't cleaned the room well. It's not letting me upload photos, or I would've shown you what we saw including a dirty bed with smeared stuff on duvet and hairs all over it and the sheets. The mirror in bedroom was awful and smudged. The chairs had crumbs all over them. Her boyfriend came one night at 10pm to watch her grab trash beside us outside and made a HUGE commotion, swearing at her and yelling about her spending time with the boss, all while revving his big truck and moving slowly up the driveway and down the street, still yelling! Strong smell of pot outside our entire stay, got into our room through the vents/fans. Was horrible. We were pretty positive that because there were people going in and out of the maintenance office next door constantly, the pot was indeed coming from them. The hammocks and such down by the creek were old and not inviting. The internet also was atrocious. Kept disconnecting and saying no internet, so watching tv was not the easiest. The hot tub in the room was pretty nice though I'll say. No dressers to place clothes and very little closet, so be prepared to get dressed from your luggage.

These cabins are so unique and amazing for a couple's getaway or even for the family, to go play in the river. Love this place, highly recommend.

The room was great, but it wasn't ready when we got to town and the front desk clerk said she would call when it was clean and ready. She never called. We finally just came to the motel at about 5:45 to check back. There was very poor parking.

Disappointing Check In
We arrived at 4:30 (check in is at 3) and the bungalow had not been cleaned. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, they were just finishing up. At 6:30, we were still waiting outside the bungalow, and had to ask for a third time, when it would be done after letting them know the bungalow had not even been touched! Went to grab food and when we came back it was ready AND they had thrown away $35 worth of food that we left on the patio table. We were given the reason "it's against the law for them to not throw away garbage".We were given the reason for the bungalow not being ready: they were short staffed, and had a large party over the weekend and every room needed to be cleaned. We were the only guests waiting 4 hours AFTER check in to get into the bungalow. The jacuzzi tub had a little stream of water,taking 50 minutes to fill,and the water was ice cold by the time it was full enough to use the jets. Lights out in the bathroom. Cleaners did not check the fridge and there was rotten fruit left by the previous guests. Ice machine wasn't working.I will say the bed and pillows were comfortable and it was quiet. We were told by Cat, (who was extremely nice and concerned we had to wait so long was the employee on duty when we checked in) that they would comp all 3 nights. We were only comped for 1.The property itself is relaxing, sitting on the Oak Creek, and the bungalow patio had a bbq grill for use. Next time we'll stay somewhere else.

Good first impression, however, the cleanliness of the place was not great, the place has potential but needs to keep cleanliness at the top of its game, we got there at 2:30 pm. check in was at 3; 00 pm. room was not available or clean for starters, we waited since it seemed that they were understaffed, the room was "clean" in 30 minutes, so imagine what type of cleaning was performed. and it seems that at night the sewer waters rise in the green patio area so it was unbearable to keep any door open because of the smell.

Was a true hidden gem! The creek entrance was so beautiful and it was a perfect getaway for my gf and I. However they didn’t have any towels and staff dipped out several hours early ignoring guest needs. Keeping in mind the main attraction is the jacuzzi tubs in the room. Definitely will stay again, but am going to bring my own towels

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. It was so beat up and dirty, it looked like a frat house. We were going to stick it out as the location is good and the grounds are beautiful, until I saw two bugs, not sure what kinds as they were fast and went into the heat unit. The lay out was ridiculous too, small winding staircase to get to the second floor to the dirty bed. Too narrow to take up suitcases and there were no dressers or desks or anywhere to put your suitcases anyways, except maybe the dirty little closet with gross shag carpeting. Also, we didn't get any bath towels. Left a day early after I saw the bugs. Bad layout and dirty, I might have been okay, but bugs!!! Didn't even bother to ask for a refund for our last night we just left.

This place was a gem! When searching for lodging in Sedona, the rates were very high. In scrolling through, we found Oak Creek Terrace and it was in our price range, so we went with it. We loved it!!! Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, just what we needed. And we took a walk on the grounds, so beautiful, with the rocky creek right behind the property, we spent the evening enjoying that lovely view. We highly recommend Oak Creek Terrace, it was out of town but close enough to Sedona. Not only a place to sleep, but beautiful grounds as well! We were there in early April, so I'm sure the rates are higher in the summer, but check it out, it is a hidden gem!

Hi Melinda, thank you for staying with us. We appreciate the lovely review. Just so you know, our rates are the same year round. The only thing that would change would be each room has a different price so it would depend on the room that you booked. We are in the process of remodeling rooms and those rooms will be a higher rate but not by much :) we hope to see you again.
