Nice locationPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: The location and view was great.
Cons: The air conditioning.
Location: Lots to do. Hiking, sightseeing, shopping restaurants.
The hotel was okay but the air conditioning was awful. It made such a racket we couldn't sleep all night and we couldn't turn it off because it was too hot.

We will never stay anywhere else in Sedona!Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: The spectacular view, location and comfort of the rooms. Comfortable beds, great staff.
Cons: House-keeping cabins aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but they were perfect for us.
Location: The resort is located in a neighborhood in the village of Oak Creek which is about 20 minutes south of Sedona.
We were so very happy with our experience at Red Agave. The chalets are perfect for families or family reunions, but the smaller rooms looked nice as well. We stayed in the Echo Canyon chalet and had plenty of room for my husband, our teenage daughter, 6 year old son and my elderly mom. The interiors are relatively modest, but very thoughtfully appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. It's wonderful to be able to stay in for breakfast or lunch and the kitchen even had a pitcher so I was able to make sangria one night! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful - truly spreading the Sedona love and positive energy. But the most extraordinary feature of the Red Agave is the view. Every morning you wake up to the most magnificent scenery, facing Bell Rock and the Courthouse Butte. There are walking/riding paths directly off the property, so it's easy to begin or end your day with a beautiful hike. The grounds are very pretty as well, so we spent plenty of time outside taking in the view with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine or lounging in the pool and hot tub. The property is actually in a neighborhood, but situated as it is, facing the desert, it's very quiet and feels a world apart. Sedona is a magical place - I didn't want to leave. I'm certain we will go back again and again and I can't imagine why we would ever stay anywhere but the Red Agave. It's a special place!

Old hotel without room service.Posted Jun 15, 2015 on Hotels
Outside is very nice but the room was too old and everything in it was cheap. There is no room service.Bed had a weird noisy metal base. Kitchen had no counter space, no even for a small plate. I would not stay in this hotel again.

Snowbirds will return!!Posted May 21, 2015 on Hotels
Imagine waking to views of "Bell Rocks' ribbons of color" from your bed in a chalet loft -- I did!! Our 9 day girls' getaway covered 800 miles & 5 various hotels in Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and Sedona.... the RAR was by far the high point!! We stayed in a chalet which comfortably accommodated 5 adults. The location, gardens, amenities and swimming pool/hot tubs are fantastic!! The quiet neighbourhood, star gazing and proximity to hiking & biking trails are the best reason to stay at the RAR!!

Great place to stay in the Sedona areaPosted Apr 20, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed for two nights, and when we make it back to the Sedona area, will stay there again. The hotel is older, but very well maintained, clean, quiet, great location, nice to find cleaning supplies & coffee in the room as well as the kitchen having everything you would need for an extended stay. Also, the view can't be beat!

Execellent location, great facilities, superb viewPosted Jan 14, 2015
This was the second time I stayed here. I love the fact that the backyard view is among the best in Sedona, and that your backyard basically just flows out onto the trails, including the Bell Rock Trail! Again, the convenience of the efficiency rooms, or the A-frame cottages is superb, too, with fridge, microwave, stove, etc. Ideal for a longer stay. Brilliant!

Location is its plusPosted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: Location for trails. There is a gas fire pit that was nice to sit around and talk in the evening with other guests.
Cons: The plug for the sink did not fit to fill with water so I had to wonder how clean the dishes were from the last guests (although they looked clean)
Location: Red Rock trail and close to supermarket.
Booked this hotel as it was close to many trails. It had several trails from the property that were wonderful for walking and bikes. Didn't quite feel safe there as the lock on the patio door was very minimal, no front desk staff after 10pm and no phone in the room. There was rope-lighting outside the hotel edges and even with the curtains closed it seemed like it was daylight coming through. It was nice to be able to use the BBQ grills outside your door.
