A beautiful, interesting city, we knew as we arrived we would want to stay longer than planned.
The hotel is well located on Plaza Mayor- disappointingly, our view out from the Familiar room - the only 1 offered when we booked - was on the side so mainly roofs with a sideways view of the Cathedral.
Thankfully, the bells stopped after 11:00PM at night (we are usually easily disturbed), so we could have window open. We slept well - as weather rainy and cool. Did not have the usual stuffy experience (there were air con controls not sure if working or not)
Room clean and comfortable, albeit, as the room is in the roof only half is full height. I'm 6'2" so hit my head a few times moving around the end of the bed. Even my wife had a few problems.
Shower and bath are in the sloping part of the roof so it cannot go high enough.
Didn't try hotel breakfast, but a cafe (La Colonial) 100 metres around the corner better met our needs (for less than half the price).
Driving in, you have to pass signs indicating no access. Insufficient space to unload so ended up double parking which was not good! Valet parking arrangements (they coped with right hand drive hybrid) worked well – I don't know where you'd park otherwise.
Staff welcoming friendly and helpful (arguably not enough available at peak check in times).
Water in the room, a nice touch.
Had to hunt for the room safe and then the key - a bit on the small side.
Good map provided to help us navigate around.
