General overview

Pros: Well appointed clean room.
Cons: The food.
Location: No comment - just a night's stop over.
Finding the hotal through a maze of small streets quite difficult, but perhaps that was the Sat Nav, as the hotel is next to a main road, that made it a bit noisy. Very clean room and bathroom well appointed. The bed matress and pillow not o the best quality, but when tired you can sleep on anything. The food varied a lot. The self service starter was very good, but the kitchen prepared main course was very poor and expensive for what is was. Although the car park was 2/3 full, there was only one couple in the dining room. At breakfast time, which covers a long time span, I saw nobody. What does this tell you.

Good hotel on the outskirts of Rouen

5 out of 5

Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable. Adjoining restaurant. Easy access from motorway. On the outskirts; did not have to drive through the busy city. Used bus.
Location: Buses from the hotel early morning and evening. From the supermarket during the day. Sight-seeing in Rouen, around the Seine, abbey at Jumièges.
A good welcome. Although hotel is situated on the outskirts, the bus service into town is okay. Did have our own transport as well. Parking facilities are fine. Made good use of Carrefour supermarket 600m away. Good choice on the breakfast buffet and also good menu choice at the restaurant for an evening meal. However, prices are perhaps a little expensive. Was nice to have a small sitting area with TV and a book shelf.

We arrived late in the evening and found this hotel clean, comfortable, in a quiet location and close to the motorway. We appreciated the fact it was pet friendly. We only missed not having the WiFi, unlike advertised.

Hotel on way to and from Spain- stayed both ways

Pros: The staff - fabulous - the rooms - excellent - the policy of not allowing family members to be side by side in rooms seems very strange .
Cons: Let families - if requiring two or even three rooms to be side by side and check out other guests and ensure that everyone is allowed a decent nights
Location: Only used the hotel as an overnight stop over
Going down to Spain - fantastic nights sleep! - return - from Spain difficult - had requested a ground floor room because of heart surgery - on way back I was given a room on the on upper level - two rooms booked - separated by another - in the other 2 a group of young people who were obviously not facing a 400 mile journey next day. Why do Campaniles refuse to put families together in adjoining rooms - and why do they then allow groups of younger people in to rooms next to those who actually need to sleep at night We were in rooms 17 and 19 - our noisy neighbours in 18 and 20! No chance of being prepared for next day.

Pros: Clean. Friendly staff. Great value for moneyl
Cons: Air con wouldn't blow cold. Other than that all as expected.
Location: Easy to find from the motorway. Stayed on a thursday night, very quiet.
Good clean room, nice vening meal. Very friendly staff. Air con in bedroom not working so the room was rather warm overnight. Campanile is never going to be luxurious but it does all you need for a simple overnight stop.
