Will not stay here againPosted Dec 26, 2017
Our stay at Hampton Inn in Selma Alabama was awful. First of all the General manager is rude and disrespectful to his guest, not just me to each guest (on the phone and face to face). Hampton really needs to terminate him as a manager. Second our room was not clean. We had to clean the sink, countertop, and shower. The shower drain hardware was missing and they didn't even have trash bags in the trash cans. The room looked as if the beds were made back up after he last guest without changing the sheet and the smell was well something. When I turned the heater on it smell like musty, moldy gym socks but worst. I had to spray my colon in the return unit to hide the awful smell. I know you are wondering why I did not change rooms. I did not try because it was late and we were tired, but I did not want to deal with the nasty manager expecially with his bad attitude. So we just dealt with it. To make things worst, the next morning as we were getting showered and dressed for Christmas day, room service opened our door (as my wife not fully dressed was entering the bathroom) saying she was told to clean our room because we had checked out at 8am (ah not). When I couldn't believe things could be worse it did. The staff said they could not do anything to make things right but they promised to tell management and have management call me later that day (about 3pm). Well management cares so little about their guest they have not called to make things right. THANKS HAMPTON INN, SELMA

Cons: Clients were shouting all night on more than one floor. They need to enforce a quiet time after 10 PM
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, but some clientele were shouting all night long on at least two floors.

Friendly Staff but Uncomfortable RoomsPosted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: The staff.
Cons: provide better quality beds and linen, improve air-condition with better control systems. Provide proper hot breakfast.
Location: The hotel is neat and located in close proximity to restaurants and shops.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. They make you feel welcomed; breakfast fall short of the usual fare at Hilton Hotels; the room has window air conditioners that cannot be controlled easily. My room was either too hot or too cold. The neighbors were noise throughout the night!
