Good stay in Semarang
Hotel is in a very good location, across from Paragon mall. Though the room is comfy, but its aging. The bathroom really needs more attention in cleanliness. Water stain is so pronounced on the shower curtain and bathmat; and these can be easily fixed. All staff were very friendly and helpful! Overall, we had a good stay.

Do not go to this hotel.
Room is so horrible. I asked for a non smoking room. Apparently i was put into a “previously” smoking room section. The whole room reeked of tobacco smell. The bed and the sofa too. This hotel was a good hotel 5 years ago. Cleanliness and maintenance has slipped down for sure.

Disappointing stay
Staff are lovely and the hotel is in a great location. Have stayed there many times before with no issues, but this trip was not good sadly. The key card wouldn’t work, they replaced it but still didn’t work so just said to ask someone from reception to accompany me to the room every time! One of the towels hadn’t been cleaned and was clearly damp and smelly from the last person that used it, and the whole room had a bad smell in it. I asked to be moved but there was nothing available (which seemed unlikely). I think next time I will stay somewhere else. Real shame as it’s always been good before

I was book for the rooms non smoking and when i was checking the non smoking was not available and they give me smoking rooms even the rooms sparyed with air freshner but still smell. I was travelling with small kids

The thing I like the least was that I didn't have any luck with the hot shower. I stayed for two night with less than lukewarm shower. For hotel this class, they can do much better than this. There are good variety of the breakfast buffet, even though the taste of most of them are so so. The staff are nice.

Good old days. Need renovation, asap! 😁
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. However this hotel need big time renovation as it is very old, bad smell, you know old building smell. The floor, uneven. Peeled off wall paint. Bad odor parking. Small size of swimming pool. But the breakfast food are good. Room size is big. Comfortable pillows. Good bathtub, as nowadays rarely hotel has bathtub.

+ Very friendly staff + Prompt service at all hours + Large spacious rooms + Clean sheets, comfy beds + Wide range of facilities + Location, location, location! - Furniture, overall feel is dated - Spa / Massage service same standard as the ones just behind the hotel, but 3 times the price - Strong chlorine smell at the lobby in the mornings that also stings the eyes

The food at the restaurant were poor They used to have good food and bakery. The room is old, the bathroom is dark. They only give 2 big towels and limited amenities.

Hotel Needs Many Upgrades
We booked for 8 nights but only ended up staying 1 night. There was a problem at check in and I had to go back down to the lobby until they could get me another room. After a long trip this was very inconvenient. The last straw was the next morning. The water from the bathroom sink faucet was brown and dirty. I went down to complain and was informed the problem would be fixed in an hour. They took me to a nearby budget hotel so I could take a shower in clean water. After I returned they said the problem was fixed. When I turned on the water it was now DARK BROWN and I recorded this on my phone. I then asked to speak with the general manager, Stephane Fagez, who said he could not guarantee when the issue would be resolved. I stated this was unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. In the end, they moved us to a nearby hotel for the duration of our stay. I had stayed long enough to see that this hotel is not well maintained. From the lack of adequate A/C in the lobby to the decaying bathroom fixtures and dim lighting, there are many repairs needed. On the positive side, I want to note that Mr. Fagez and the front office manager (Mega) were professional, empathetic, and patient in dealing with me and other guests who were loudly complaining about the water issue. The problem was not the hotel staff who did their best in a bad situation, but it was the poorly maintained facilities and infrastructure at the hotel.

Value for money. Room is clean and big but wood floor was broken in some places. F & B can be improved especially during breakfast; waiters can b responsive to hotel guests and food replenished. Staff in a hurry to clean up as early as one hour before end of breakfast window. A cleaner came in to sweep the floor despite there being guests around. Front desk staff were efficient and helpful.

Great service! The hotel allow me to deposit my luggage for 24+ hrs. Was planning to extend more day but it was fully booked. Great job on staff trainings though. What could be better: New & Smooth bed linen as my bed linen was kinda rough. Location: Traffic is bad but it is close to Lawang Sewu, Kampung Pelangi, pretty close to airport, etc. so pretty decent.

We booked the hotel because it is close to the central area. We were happy to find out that a large shopping mall with Starbuck and restaurants was across the street and that the police station and other government buildings were close by. So it was convenient and safe. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and very tasty. The rooms, however, were small. The towels did not seem to have been bleached and cleaned properly. We had our bed sheets in one room. changed out upon arrival after discovering some markings.

It's just an old hotel
Room is bery old for four stars standard. Smelly and lil bit dark along the alley. Bathroom amenities not complete as we cant get facial tissue and cotton bud.

Old hotel but okay location
The hotel is very old, and it reflects in the rooms. I don't like the shower/tub combination, what makes it even worse is that the shower curtain is dirty and smells bad. The location is pretty good, and the service is okay.

Nice hotel close to food
The bath towels need to be changed into new towels as they are not as white as they should be. Breakfast is very good, lots of varieties. The ramp at the entrance is too steep for handicapped.
