The front desk staff at Conrad Seoul were unwelcoming when we asked for an early check-in, despite being an Expedia Gold member. They informed us that early check-in was subject to availability, which we completely understood. They mentioned that they would message me when the room became available between 1:30-2:30 pm, so we decided to wait at a restaurant from 12 noon. However, by 2:30 pm, we had not received any notification, so we returned to the hotel to check, only to discover that the room was indeed available, but we had not received any message even though we were using the same mobile SIM card.
On our last night, we requested a one-hour late check-out, but once again, we encountered an unfriendly front desk staff member who seemed visibly frustrated with her paperwork.
Upon check-in, we asked for additional amenities and towels, as my family and I preferred not to have housekeeping service. To our surprise, the customer service representative questioned why we needed so many items. We had paid for accommodations for four people, but we were unable to obtain the amenities we were supposed to receive.
Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the service at Conrad Seoul, especially considering the rates were not cheap.
