Disappointing

Pros: Decor, Location, Accessibility
Cons: When we arrived, wanted to eat at restaurant was told was closed due to reservation. Half the restaurant was empty.
Location: Excellent location two stops away from COEX. Skip the restaurants nearby and head to COEX for dinning
Unfortunately my expectations for a 4 star hotel with its price tag were not met. It does have a good location and KAL shuttle as well as convenient train station is right in front of it. The lobby has nice decor as does the restaurant. Unfortunately reception is a mess, with screens on the floor and paper stacks all over the back. But this you can overlook Rooms (I was staying on executive floor) have a nice decor but very small and have a chemical like smell when you first walk. Also lighting is very bad, entrance light turns off every certain time but bathroom light is very dim for mirror use and desk use is almost non existent. Closets have a very sharp edge that can be very inconvenient when opening. All of these could be overlooked with the exception of these two things: beds are uncomfortable and shift/move when one moves to a side and the bathroom is a fish tank. What I mean is the bathroom has no walls but rather glass, albeit it is transparent but glosses over with a switch however there is no sense of privacy at all. The door to the bathroom (also made of glass) is see through for the most part. Some of the amenities in the rooms are nice, however the towels are scratchy. Tub is nice and toilet is nice. In addition to this some staff, specially some of the female staff are very friendly and try to be helpful, however most of the staff do not speak english well at all. For an international chain hotel this is troublesome. Resturant was said to be closed at 9pm.

Worst Hotel I ever visited in my life

Pros: The hotel looked too old, looked infested with bugs, so unclean that we don't want touch furniture. The overall environment seemed unsafe.
Cons: The hotel needs to total renovation.
Location: The location is excellent and very close to subway stations.
This hotel was was so bad/unclean that I cannot stay in the hotel even though I paid for the first night. After paying for one night, we found another hotel which is very VERY nice and clean and the price was almost same. Later, I heard rumor that there are prostitutes in the basement of the building. If this rumor is true, this hotel may be a good place for those visit prostitutes. Absolutely, I didn't have time, interest or energy to verify the rumor. someone may verify this rumor by visiting him/her self.

A Decent Hotel Required a few improvements

Pros: My premium room has good size. The desk is sufficient for my computer work. Individual WIFI router for the room. The maid did a great job every day.
Cons: Stained floor carpet. Bathroom needs calking. Air condition should be on prior to check-in. Smelled carpet.
Location: It is about 15-20 minute walk to Coex convention center.
I normally stay at 4-star hotel. This hotel does not really deserve 4 stars, but it was survivable for me. When I entered the room first time, it was 27 degrees in the room (end July) because the air condition requires my key to activate. I smelled strong humidity. However, I was so tired after 13 hours travel so I took a 3-hour nap. When I woke up, the room was cooler (25C degrees), but I still smelled something although not as strong as before. I called the front desk and told him I suspected I got a smoking room. The guy came and told me he did not smell anything. I guessed it was probably the humidity from the carpet; he could not smell because he got used to it. Then I started unpacking and found the safe box was locked. I called twice and got unlocked next morning. However, it did not lock anymore. So I did not use the safe until the third day when someone removed the batteries from inside the safe and installed them outside ... By the way, the safe is not fixed to a wall or furniture. One can move it and steal it

I stayed 10 nights during a conference and associated meetings. The room was comfortable and always clean. The Japanese style spa in the hotel is a real plus. There is a small charge but it is worth it for the relaxation. The breakfast is OK - nothing special - I usually bought a pastry from a local shop. The venue is around 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by taxi from the COEX conference centre, which is very convenient. The Metro station is immediately outside for easy travel around the city for sightseeing and business. A comfortable stay - recommended.
