Luxurious stay in central Seoul location

Posted Jan 5, 2017
Pros: Luxurious rooms, restaurants, generous breakfast buffet, spacious and modern lobby, helpful staff, location, subway entrance.
Cons: Staff's English proficiency
Location: Central location, right in front of city hall. Direct access to subway lines 1 and 2 from underneath hotel, a quick walk away from Myeong-dong.
What a pleasant surprise! This hotel was much more luxurious that it appeared from the photos on Expedia. Our room was extremely spacious, with a separated living and bed room. The bathroom had a large shower as well as a comfy bathtub, a smart toilet/bidet, and a full wall mirror. The room was equipped with a tablet that allows you to control lights, curtains, temperature and more directly from your bed side table. The living room and bedroom at 2 different TVs and thermostats. The breakfast buffet was included for Expedia gold members, and it included everything from pastries to smoked fish, dumplings, noodle soups, duck, chicken, bacon, eggs, potatoes, different kinds of juices, teas and coffee, etc. The 4 restaurants in the hotel (buffet, Chinese, Japanese and Italian) offer a wide variety of really high quality meal options (very expensive though). There is a subway stop directly under the hotel, so you don't even have to venture outside of the property to connect with the rest of the city. The staff was very kind and helpful, but they English could certainly be improved (but this is a universal problem in South Korea).

Amazing Hotel in the middle of everything

Posted Jan 3, 2017
Location: Myeong-Dong (shopping), Palaces
Amazing and Awesome are just two words to describe this classy, next-gen luxury hotel. Conveniently located in the heart of Seoul's financial district, this hotel is next to two historical landmarks (palaces), amazing shopping (Myeong-dong), and transportation (underground access to subway and Korean Airlines Limo Bus). These are just the amazing facts about the hotel's location. Even though the hotel was celebrating its 40th Anniversary, it felt anything but old. The lobby, the elevators, the rooms, the lounges, the restaurant - everything was modern and updated. We were staying in a Premier Suite and thanks to being an Expedia +Gold member, got upgraded to the Premier Suite with Club Lounge access. Needless to say that this enhanced our experience even further. The Premier Suite by itself was completely next gen - RFID door access, central console to control lights, curtains, temperature, alarms! The Club Lounge is great as well. They provide complimentary Happy Hour, Breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Lastly, the staff was the cherry on top. Ever so courteous and polite, they were super friendly and always helpful. Will return back to the hotel the next time we are in Seoul.

Suite

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Location: Heart of Seoul. Shopping, eating, palaces, more shopping.
We booked a deluxe double room and got upgraded to a suite. There was a fantastic touchpad beside the bed that let me control the Windows and lights. The bathroom was the size of my bedroom with a tub and separate rainfall style shower. We had 2 large screen tvs too.

Excellent Value for money

Pros: Art deco is top of the line, brand new and well matched.
Cons: You need to be careful when you remove the curtain as you could see yourself or others reflected on the glass window of the opposite building.
It was like a sleeping beauty in the center of the huge metropolitan area of Seoul.

Everything at your doorstop!

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Pros: Location, Location and the wonderful staff
Cons: There were no cable movie channels and if you are a westerner, nothing to watch on television, could have had more satellite channels in English.
Location: The beautiful palaces are very close, one just across the road. The Plaza overlooks the town plaza with wonderful events to watch from hotel window.
The Plaza is located right in the centre of Seoul and close to all tourist attractions, many within walking distance. The staff are fantastic and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a wonderful time in Seoul.

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Posted Oct 2, 2016
The hotel is conveniently located near the City Hall metro station within a short distance to shops, markets and lots of restaurants. There is even a large KFC nearby for those not custom to the local food. Although located in a busy district, we didn't feel the noisiness one would expect from a city hotel. The hotel is in a good condition as you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The staff were extremely helpful - they can't help you enough. The only negative we had about this hotel was the small room size (there is no bath), but the room is very modern with electric curtains centrally controlled and a flashy toilet (one that you would associate with Japan).

Excellent Hotel in the Center of it all

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: Look, amenities, location, staff
Location: Immediately outside of the hotel you have the history and culture in the museums. You can easily walk to Myeongdong for shopping
This hotel is definitely worth the price. In and of itself, it has amazing amenities. I took advantage of the health center by using the gym and had I had enough time, probably would've hit up the sauna. The restaurant looked amazing too! Room was phenomenal and the overall look of the hotel made it a 5 start for sure. Location counts for a lot and this has it. It's by City Hall station which is pretty close to Seoul Station so it's practically at the center of the city. You are right across the street from the Seoul Plaza and Seoul City Hall, by a lot of palaces and museums. Not to mention some great restaurants. The lower level of the hotel directly connects to Sogung underground shopping center which links City Hall Station to Myeongdong Underground Shopping Center. This is convenient as you can easily walk to Myeongdong from your hotel and if it's too hot or too cold, you have some protection (was pretty hot and humid in Korea when I was visiting). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel with Great Location

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Pros: Central location. Excellent customer service by staff. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room with great view. Direct bus to Airport.
Cons: Furniture and facilities are a bit worn out. Hotel needs a renovation soon. Fitness center and pool are in another building.
We stayed 4 nights for a Seoul trip. From check-in to check-out, you can feel the quality of service. Hotel is just next to a subway station, and at walking distance to some major sight seeings.

Location: The location was very convinient.
Everything was OK except the view from the room was blocked by big high-rise.
