Victoria Lodge does have both its pro-s and con-s. The location of the listing was awesome beyond words. The listing was located about 200 metres away from the "Ewha Women's University" bus stop, and about a two-minute walk to the nearest Line 2 subway exits.
The airport limousine to Incheon Airport was quite far away, about a 5-7 minute drag up the slopes. Bus stops are sometimes located in the middle of the road in Seoul, which was quite the unique sight for us.
Victoria Lodge does not have an elevator, do be prepared to climb up some relatively-steep flight of steps. The owners allow you to stow your luggage at the common area if you arrive way before the check-in time. We also appreciated how one could designate your own passkey for the rooms.
The room was quite spacious for us, as we had very little luggage. There were adequate universal sockets, and the TV was luxuriously huge. We went in summer, so we were ultra thankful for the air-conditioning. The bathroom was also considerably roomy. There was a hot water flask, a bar fridge, hooks for you to hang and air-dry your clothes, a lamp when you need a night light to see where you were going.
The bed was hard, and it was so hard we had bruises after a few nights of sleeping. There were weird bugs flying around too. We used the bug sprays at the common area but they kept coming back.
Given the chance to travel on a tight budget, we may put up at Victoria Lodge again! It was overall, quite a pleasant stay! Thank you!
