"All that a really good african experience should be. Lovely ambience from stunning beach views with palm lined sands and plenty of grass covered canapied umbrellas. The pool was crystal clean everyday and the food in the beach restaurant was amazing quality at really good prices. The breakfast was of high standard with plenty of choice everyday. There was different entertainment every night from african dancers and authentic drum players,to bands playing regiee music. The staff warmth and customer service was the best I have encountered in the 15 years I have been visiting the Gambia. Altogether a fantastic holiday experience "

"The staff at the property were excellent. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We ended up staying there nearly 3 weeks and in that time it was comforting to know that staff was concerned for you if you were away from your routine. This was particularly reassuring as we were two senior women travelling without our husbands. We felt very safe. If there was an issue with anything the issue was addressed in a timely manner. It is clear that the facility is working to improve the quality of its property. Without a doubt I would recommend this property as a great place to stay."

"Nice basic accommodation in a great location. Rooms are comfortable and clean but no frills. Pool area is nice, the bar next to it is good for cheap beer and snacks. Restaurant on-site is pretty good. Air conditioning costs extra but I think it's reasonable (plus it cools off enough at night to where it's not necessary, especially for downstairs rooms). It's close to the main beaches and nightlife in Kololi and Senegambia, and getting a quick taxi to them is easy. If you're looking to hang out and relax by the pool, go to the beach, and go out at night to the restaurants and bars, Baobab Holiday Resort is a good choice."

"Friendly and helpful staff, really nice people. Great air con in the room. Looked like a lot of improvements were happening while I was there - new wooden sunbeds, improved WiFi. The room was cool and clean. The pool is nice and is perfect on a hot day. An already broken mirror in my room was fixed without me saying anything. Few things wrong in the room - loose shower attachment, loose towel and toilet roll fittings, no main light so it was dark even with the lights on. Mosquitos in the room. WiFi rarely worked in the room. All of that was workable and didn’t really spoil anything for me given the price I paid (although the sporadic internet was annoying). The main issue, and it’s not the fault of the hotel, is the noise that comes from the tourist bars and restaurants. The music is loud and goes on late most nights, making it hard to sleep at a reasonable hour. Bring ear plugs! I kind of got used to it after a while. Overall a great value hotel, clean and safe with lovely staff. I would stay here again. "
