Great spot on Lake Douglas

We had a great time. We loved that there weren’t a ton of stairs to get down to the lake. We had our own boat ramp (narrow) and our own dock and it was just what our family needed! We brought our 4 month old twins and the property already had a high chair and some other items. Kid and dog friendly!

Cozy cove is a gem!

We absolutely loved the location. Right on the water with easy access paved ramp for older family was perfect. The fire pit was awesome. Kayaks were a hit for those who wanted a nice, quiet & different perspective for viewing the local homes. The hot tub was a great feature enjoyed by all. Inside accommodations were everything we needed. Lots of utensils and cookware! The dock was wonderful and well built. Accommodated our boat rental with ease. However, it would’ve been very helpful to have a ladder from the dock to access the water. The handles were there, but no ladder!! Would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful property. Location was perfect for kids of all ages. The house was far enough from the water that we didn’t worry about the little ones getting outside and into the water. This house has a grassy slope going to the water where most have many stairs down to the water. The dock was great to fish off of and great for docking the pontoon we rented. The appliances were high quality which often isn’t the case. All cooking, baking dishes/pans we needed were there as well as a high chair which again isn’t always the case. Plenty of seating and tables inside and out. Nice to have the shampoos etc in every BR. LOTS of towels were greatly appreciated since we had 11 people. Beds were comfortable. The fire pit and hot tub were very nice as well as the kayaks. Any questions we had day or night were easily communicated to Vacasa with an immediate response. This is the most beautiful, cleanest and warmest (90 degrees ) lake I’ve ever been in! I highly recommend renting a boat, it’s the only way to really enjoy the lake although you can swim right off shore. Always bring water shoes as the shore all around the lake is rocky but it drops off a few feet from shore.

Wonderful Memories

The house was the cleanest rental we have ever vacationed in. It is warm and inviting, simple decorations that to its charm. The kitchen is well stocked with baking pans, lots of plates, bowels and cups. A wonderful mix of stainless steel cookware and non-stick. Loads of cooking implements and forks, spoons and knives. Plenty of bath towels and washcloths. Extra blankets…how nice. Beds were comfortable. 8 adults and 2 teenagers, we had plenty of room to spread out. Large dinner table accommodated us, we enjoyed meals and games together. Wrap around deck with a beautiful view of the lake. More than enough chairs and 2 large tables in deck to enjoy the view and eat at. Situated in a cove with ducks. A gentle slope down to a partially covered dock, kayaks easily carried to waters edge. Take note, cooling temperature cannot be set lower than 72. The ceiling fans helped keep the house cool. We enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and shuffle board table. The hot tub was used once, very clean. We all enjoyed spending a great deal of time on the dock soaking up sun and playing in the water. I was surprised on the limited number of bags of trash, without incurring additional charge. When we arrived the grass had not been mowed, however it was mowed mid week. Not a fan of the washer/dryer combination unit. It will take about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete one load of clothes. And who wants to spend that kind of time doing laundry? But, to each his own. We greatly appreciate that this rental is pet friendly! Always a selling point for us. We will consider this place again for future family vacations. Thank you.

Friends lake weekend

This lake was above and beyond!! The house was located in a very quiet cove and it was great!! Only down fall was no ladder to get out of the water and had to swim around to the boat ramp to get out and that sucked

Friends lake weekend

This place was beautiful and great!! Plenty of room and the view and back deck was awesome!! Only 1 problem…..the ladder!! Having no ladder on the dock SUCKED!! If they had a ladder this place would be perfect!! Having to walk up the boat ramp was terrible cause it was slippery and dangerous….so we could only walk up the rocky side so we wouldn’t slip and bust our a$$es.

Lake Stay

The property was very nice and relaxing. The couches in the main living area need to be replaced. It would also benefit from having a gas grill because that charcoal grill was not in good shape. Also two the five kayaks had issues which we did not know about until we got there. Overall the stay was extremely satisfying and the views and lake access were perfect. The hot tub was great to relax in. If we come back to TN we would stay here again!

We had a great experience at Cozy Cove. My only "complaint" was there was no washer and dryer when we arrived. The property manager quickly got back to us, apologized for any inconvenience, and a new washer/dryer was delivered a few days later. The main living room furniture could also use some updating, but it was fine. There was plenty of things to keep the teens entertained and the view of the lake was stunning. We loved having our coffee on the deck each morning. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Spacious Lake House On Cove

The house had plenty of room for all. The basement with pool table and ping pong table was fun when you needed a break from the sun. The property would benefit from a propane grill. The cove was quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful views, but air quality in home was not good

We loved the views, the ease of the boat ramp, a nicely lit dock, fire pit, and fabulous deck. When we pulled in, we noticed the grass was high and weedy, however it was mowed mid-week. The home smelled bad when we arrived. It helped to air it out and use some air freshener, which we brought. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The furniture was rather worn looking. The indoor and outdoor rugs were worn and stained. The kitchen could have used more than two towels. The biggest problem we had was the air quality in the lower level. It was mildewy/musty/moldy. There was visible dust, dirt, and grime on the air vents and returns. The odor was bad, and our guests had difficulty breathing down there. Two of our guests had to move upstairs for the last couple of nights because they were so affected by air in the lower level. The Wi-Fi couldn’t support the number of guests allowed in the house. Loved the location and the cute cabin look. Loved the views and access to the lake. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return due to the issues with the lower level. It would probably be helpful to run a dehumidifier and have the vents and ducts deep cleaned.

Gorgeous location, but air quality in home was poor

Loved the location, quiet cove, and ease of boat ramp. Beautiful views from deck! Kayaks were quite worn, but useable. Handles, but no ladder from lake into dock. Dock was nicely lit at night and covered dock was great for our boat. House was fairly nice, but furniture very worn. Pillows were terrible. House smelled bad when we arrived. But, kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Area carpets and mats were dirty and very worn. The biggest issue was the air quality in the lower level of the home. It smelled mildewy/musty/moldy. Several of our guests had breathing difficulties and we had to move a couple of them up to the living room to sleep for the last couple of nights. The home would definitely benefit from a dehumidifier and duct/air vent deep cleaning. (Visible dust and grime on vent and return covers.) A couple extra kitchen towels/cloths would have been helpful. Grass was high and weedy when we arrived, but was mowed mid-week. Overall loved the location and cute home! But, the breathing problems in the lower level would prevent us from staying again.

Disappointing stay

Disappointing Stay My family and I were so excited to arrive at Cozy Cove, but upon our arrival we became very disappointed. The largest problem was no water for ultimately 3 days. First full day the water went out after a repair person came was fixed after several hours. Only to go out the next evening that took multiple calls to get someone there the next morning who couldn’t fix it. Finally the right person came and we had water by 4:00 that afternoon. Numerous other items including the deck attached to the house, as well as the pavilion near the water is peeling to the point we couldn’t risk having any kids on either floor without shoes for fear of splinters. The picnic table under the pavilion is cracking and breaking and 1/2 of it isn’t able to be used. The boat dock has multiple bird nests with incredibly large piles of bird feces on the deck in which we were concerned about our children going near it because it clearly hasn’t been cleaned in an incredibly long time. The blind in one bedroom was completely broken and we were woken up each morning by the rising sun, the bathroom on the main floor had a DISGUSTING shower curtain liner including mildew and ripped and the tub didn’t drain properly. The couches are very worn and when sitting on them you sink down incredibly far due to them being so old and worn. There is a cracked window on the bottom leg which could be a problem. Knee high grass along the driveway and other areas was not good to walk through

Almost Perfect

The home is beautifully designed and the rooms are very nice. We weren’t able to check in early due to having it cleaned, but it wasn’t clean when we arrived. A little disappointing, but nothing we couldn’t live with. The biggest issue was the yard - it was so tall our dogs had to jump through it. I asked about it and was told there was no intent to have it cut while we were there. While we were packing up to leave, some ominous car pulled half way down the driveway and sat watching - disturbing.
