The staff is really rude. It seemed as if they didn't wanted us to stay at the hotel. Nowhere in Spain or France did we receive this type of treatment but here. The advertising for the hotel is also deceiving since they posted the hotel as having an indoor and outdoor pool and they were still under construction. They told us that it might be open in a few days or weeks.
We went farther out of the city to have access to a bigger room and a pool since we were traveling with our 5 year old and were very disappointed to find out the only thing open was the gym. No children's activity, no theme park, no pool, nothing. And they couldn't even accommodate an additional hour to check out.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless the only reason to stay is to go to the theme park when is actually open - summer.
By the way the room didn't smell good either.

Having that said, I would like to apologise for not meeting your expectations this time. I am very concerned to read that your appreciation about our staff members is not positive. Barcelo Hotels and Resorts follows very strict quality standards to satisfy its guests with excellence and politeness. I would love to have the opportunity to know more about specific situations during your experience so that I can apply the right measures to avoid similar situations.
Moreover, I would like to inform you that our indoor pool is still in construction and it has never been advertise as open. I am sure this is a misunderstanding.
In addition to your feedback, we only have children activities in summer, the time of the year when we transform the whole decoration of the hotel for the kids while the theme park located next to the hotel opens.
In regards to your comments about the late check out, we can only guarantee this service if it is requested in advance. We beg your pardon if this situation represented an inconvenient for you.
We could have changed your room if its smell was not appropriate to your convenience. We could have done it if you had inform us during your stay. Our guests are our priority and we work hard to offer solutions to any inconvenient.
