Excellent hotel.Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: The service and the quiet room.
Cons: A ramp to roll down the luggage from the main entrance to the lobby.
This hotel is in a local neighborhood about 15 minutes walk to the main tourist attractions (or you can take a taxi which are easily located). The hotel isn't a luxury hotel, but it had everything we needed and the service was excellent. We asked for a quiet room and got just that. No view from the window, but very quiet for sleeping. The room we had was adequate size, the bathroom was clean and functional, and there was good, free WiFi. The staff were very helpful, friendly, responsive, and had all the info we needed. The only thing to know is that there isn't a bellhop, so there are a few stairs to negotiate to get your luggage into the hotel. (I imagine the staff would have helped if we asked). The buffet breakfast was great and had a lot of variety. We were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again.

quiet and comfortable hotelPosted May 29, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is in a quiet location just on the other side of the river from the main sites, which are easily reached on foot within 10 minutes. The hotel is well appointed with large bedrooms and bathrooms and a choice of 3 types of pillows making for a very comfortable night's sleep. The décor feels slightly dated. Breakfast was good, particularly the freshly squeezed kiwi fruit juice and the wide selection of meats and cheeses for the cold buffet. The bacon and sausages could have been crispier. It seemed a little petty to charge for tea and coffee making facilities (€4.50) and we were even charged €1 for the cups we requested to brew our own tea. This was a first in all our years of travelling. Parking is €16.50 and is essential due to the parking restrictions nearby.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a great variety. The hotel is located close to the city centre, easy 10 min. walk. They offer 3 kind of pillows. The room is typical European room, had everything needed.

Nice hotel in a nice areaPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Even though the hotel is across the river from the center of the city, it was within a block of several pedestrian streets with shops and restaurants.
Cons: Because we were on the 1st floor, it was noisy early in the morning as the breakfast buffet was being set up and guests ate.
Location: Many restaurants and shops and bars close by. The center of the city where all of the historical points of interest are are within walking distance.
We stayed in Hotel Monte Carmelo for 8 nights. The front desk staff were excellent, always pleasant and helpful. They booked 2 tours for us and assisted us with anything else we needed. Seville is a town where a lot of walking is involved. Wear comfortable shoes! The section of town where the hotel is located is called Los Remedios.

Excellent Seville Hotel.Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Everything, staff, food and location were perfect.
Location: The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Real Alcazar and an excellent location for exploring the Triana area.
This is an excellent hotel, ideally situated for visiting the Triana area and only a 10 minute walk to the cathedral. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The safe in the room was not working and was replaced within 20 minutes. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection of fresh fruits which was constantly replenished, a good selection of breads and pastries and cheese and cold meats.

Hotel con Buon rapporto qualità prezzoPosted May 16, 2015

Great choice!Posted May 16, 2015
Cons: A bar off the lounge would be nice.
Location: Plenty of nice shops and places to eat within a few minutes walk. Not far to get to most of the main sites on foot.
We have just spent 5 nights at the hotel. All the staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean, the bed was very large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean with lovely thick towels and great shower. Our room safe wasn't working but it was fixed the same day we reported it. Can't comment on the breakfast as we headed out early each morning to avoid the heat and then ate later. The neighbourhood was not the most attractive, but seemed to be very safe. We were just round the corner from Asuncion which had a good selection if shops and cafés, including a supermarket. In the evenings it got very busy with lots of families which was nice to see. There was a cafe just on the corner - Cervecerio Emilio which had lovely cold beer and very good tapas. They were a bit slow asking for the money but we were in no rush and we ate there a number of times. Apart from one bus trip to Italica, we walked everywhere and were able to see all the things we wanted to in our five day trip. And we were close enough to be able to return to the hotel in the afternoons to cool off when it got too hot. Free wifi worked very well every day. Only minus points were no gym or bar; but we knew that when we booked so were very happy. Our room faced the street but it was very quiet. We wanted a 6:00 p.m. Checkout today but as they were full tonight we could only get 2:00; for an extra €15 which was well worth it as we were able to shower and get changed after our morni
