Lovely quiet resort on Praslin
Does what it says on the tin. Private beach, great location, helpful staff - only slight drawback is the food options are a bit limited. This was our second visit and it lived up to our expectations.

L'Archipel is the only hotel in a very nice beach (Anse Gouvernement) so you will be able to enjoy this natural wonder without disturbance. The hotel is well integrated with Praslin natural beauty. Hotel staff is very friendly and happy to help with any of your requests - from excursions to taxi arrangements. Rooms can be located quite close to the beach, so you can fall asleep while listening to the sea and the sounds of all the island birds. I was impressed with the high cleaning standard and the two daily upkeeps of our room - as this hotel is integrated with nature it is quite difficult to keep the insects at bay, something that the hotel managed quite successfully.

It was a good stay, the staff friendly just that the kitchen closes early for dinner n you cant have late food after 9;30pm. Also the lady at the reception,Christa is very rude and shouts at us. That was a turn off as the receptionist should be warm n accommodating.

A small hotel (30 bungalis) on an excellent location with a private beach and a beautiful landscape. Friendly service. A place for those who look for a quiet vacation in a beautiful spit far from the crowd.

Place needs renovation
Place was accessed through bush trail. One of the oldest resorts on Praslin is long overdue for a relaunch. Small pool. Air conditioning did not work well, Internet was awful slow, and did not work 50% of the time. Little effort was made to keep beach free of weeds. Water in bay was very murky, and could not see bottom.

Great Resort; Management Needs Improvement
Stayed for four nights. Pros: Great views!!!, lovely breakfast and service from staff with delicious warm pastries each morning, amazing location near downtown, beautiful rooms. Cons: Communication with hotel, beach was very pretty but its swimming condition was just ok and snorkeling was non-existent due to the very low visibility, no fitness room, got the impression the management was more interested in $$$ than making sure you had a pleasant experience. Mini fridge didnt work and needed to be replaced which they did so quickly, but only after suggesting we weren't using it right. Room was missing robes and luggage rack which is totally fine, but when we called to ask for these, they were adamant they were in the room, but they weren't. Just a lot of back and forth. Overall, the stay was okay. It had its ups and definite downs. We had a booking miscommunication which was eventually worked out, but could have been handled a lot more professionally by the management team. The poor communication left a very bitter taste in our mouths and unfortunately, it was hard to enjoy the rest of our say.

Amazing ocean views!
The staff was amazing! Everyone was so nice and very accommodating. However, even better was the view. Each room looks out over the ocean and breakfast is served right on the beach. I would stay here again and again.

Nice hotel on the beach.
Most rooms have a view of the ocean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was bountiful with tables set on the beach or just on the veranda. The hotel was a little ways from the village but it didn’t bother us.

Wonderful boutique hotel on the beach.
We stayed at L'archepal for 4 nights. It is beautifully situated on the water. There are several deluxe rooms that are right on the water - I would recommend asking about one of those because your experience will be more magical. The beach at the hotel is private and beautiful, but to get to other places on the island you will have to rent a car or hire a taxi. The service at the hotel was awesome from check in, throughout meals and checkout. Geoffrey, Alicia and Pierre were huge standouts on service. The only thing I think needs improvement is the food. Because if it's "secluded" location we ended up eating several meals at the hotel. Dinner was a pre fixed menu most of the night we were there, without the option of ordering ala carte. I cannot say that any dinner I would rate higher than average. Mixed drinks are around $20USD- but your alcohol at the local supermarket and mix drinks in your room. The excursions were great - if you plan on snorkeling bring your own mask. The masks do not have change out mouth pieces and we're pulled out of a barrel. We spent time sterilizing ours pre trip on our own with antibacterial wipes we had. Overall a relaxing hotel with great service situated on a beautiful beach.

Peaceful and beautiful
Peaceful hotel in a beautiful garden setting and on its own beach! My eight night stay could not have been more perfect. Set in a sheltered cove with its own beach and excellent restaurant everything I needed was there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant seafood was delicious and the buffet nights amazing! cocktails before dinner by the pool was a highlight. Many thanks to all the staff.

We picked L'Archipel as it looked to be reasonable quality (and price) in a good location with its own direct access to the beach. The hotel did not disappoint - my wife and I had a super, quiet week when we did not need to stray far from our room, the beach, the pool bar and the restaurant. In general, the staff were outstanding, always happy to help. Our only frustration was the inattentiveness of some of the bar and restaurant staff - we could have died of thirst waiting for the barman to look around and survey his customers. In the room the only disappointment was the bed - the mattress was cheap, seemed old and creaky and hard. All in all, we had a great time and we would happily go back again and recommend it to others - but it is definitely a couples hotel and not the place for children of any age.

The rooms are good but the staff are not really professional. First of all when they say free wifi, they mean only at the restaurant and not in the room. They charge you for using wifi at the room. Also, we requested for an internal flight to be arranged and they said it was done but on the day of the flight they said the booking has been cancelled because we didn't pay...however we had asked if we can pay on the day of the flight and we were told that's fine!!

Room was quite pretty & comfortable. However there was no hot water on the arrival & could not have shower or bath after the long trip from Hong Kong. Hotel staffs ( starting from the arrival, the staff at the reception & the staffs at the restaurant.....etc.) were not very friendly & pleasant. No smile, not happy so much......

Trés moyen.
Hôtel bien situé, belle plage en contrebas, piscine sympatique. Personnel souriant mais trés lent, petit-dej et dîner assez moyen si vous êtes exigeant, carte des vins plutôt restreinte. L'hôtel est vieillot mais les chambres sont spacieuses et ont du être refaite. Attention il faut également savoir qu'aux seychelles, tout est éteint à 23h max, donc n'y allez pas pour faire la fête. Bref bilan trés mitigé pour cet hôtel qui, à mon avis, ne mérite pas 4 étoiles, et où il vaut mieux faire un court séjour si on ne veut pas s'ennuyer cruellement. Il est évident qu'on est loin du luxe que l'on aurait pu imaginer. OT

Hotel für Romantiker
Sehr schön gelegenens Hotel, mit herrlichem Blick über die Buchten. Kleiner aber sehr schöner Strand, lecker Frühstück und schöne Poolbar. Das Restaurant ist auch zu empfehlen. Mietwagen aber unbedingt notwendig!

We stayed for 6 nights. Beautiful Hotel at the very end of Anse Volbert. A bit far off if you like to be closer to other restaurants or shops. Our Deluxe-Room was very nice and big but missed sunbed or hammock on veranda to relax on rainy days. Mini bar empty at arrival. Needs to be filled by yourself or via room-service. You pay what you order, not what you drink... Beach was full of seagrass all week and not very welcoming. Showerwater did not drain correctly and couldn't get fixed timely. Construction on central building caused quite some noise, sometimes until pretty late in the evening. Complain about noise at reception didn't lead to any goodie or price reduction. Breakfast was OK but variety limited (no real choice of bread, no fish, one kind of cutlery/ham and one kind of cheese) but great omelets (anyway I prefer breakfast buffet). The one dinner we had was outstanding, very delicious and great service, too. Staff in general very friendly. Value for price was not really OK concerning beach, construction works, etc.

Great stay - amazing location
We only had 3 nights at L'Archipald, as we had a short stop at Prasline, and we choose L'Archipald in the last moment, and we were very positive impressed about the hotel and the beautiful location right at the beach. Location cannot be better, and amazing spacious villa with nice balcony overlooking the Beach. Nice Beach for swimming and water activities - would recommend boat trips to the surrounding islands. Breakfast served directly at the Beach - what a wonderful start of the day. Hotel dont feel overcrowded at all, and nice for relaxation. We would diffently like to come back t L'Arcipald next time we come to Prasline, and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

In Ordnung, aber es fehlt einiges bis gut
Qualität und Ambiente des Beach-Restaurants ist top - Service sehr freundlich. Die Anlage selber ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das fängt bei den Liegestühlen am Strand an und zieht sich durch bis zum Badezimmer.
