Hotel in Pudong

The Grand Hyatt is a solid hotel but bring a lot of patience with you if you are not a Mandarin speaker. The best English speaking staff work at the front desk both at check-in and the restaurant. Outside of the front desk, most staff in the hotel's English is limited and challenged and it takes some patience and a few iterations to get your message across.
The service staff in the restaurant are outright rude, incompetent and have customer service issues, and I felt that I was being racially microaggressed at times with the types of tables they were offering me and the service level in general.
Room comfort was given a "3" because the HVAC in my room was dysfunctional for some reason, and despite me calling for it to be addressed it was not really addressed which was very disappointing. Other than that, the room was a "5".
