Posted Jan 23, 2017 on Hotels
A very busy hotel . Always long line up at front desk . Service are poor, but location is great if you have to catch early flight at Hong Qiao airport in the morning . 15 mins by taxi to Hong Qiao airport .

Money Minded Hilton

Posted Dec 31, 2016 on Hotels
Money minded. We paid for breakfast online. Hilton charged additional for children. We paid for 4 days of breakfast but only got 3. Hilton promised to take away as we depart early but failed to deliver even basic breakfast and did even refund it.

Comfortable and clean. Less accessible from Pudong Airport. Staff good at arranging taxis

An example of inconvenience

Posted Nov 9, 2016 on Hotels
Staff are relatively less welcoming compared with other hotels. Highly inconvenient, transportation especially. No free WiFi in the room was a big minus. Devoid of relevant activities for visitors in surrounding areas. Not conducive for business or pleasure.

Excellent location, but a little bit pricey

Posted Nov 4, 2016 on Hotels
The Hilton Hongqiao is in a fantastic location. 15 minutes by taxi from Hongqiao airport and railway station is so important if travelling on business around China. It is also close to the main ringroad, which means only 45 minutes to Pudong airport. In a city that can be one big traffic jam, this location is very important. It is also close (10 minutes on foot) to the Hubin Road entertainment street, with loads of excellent restaurants and bars - so again no need to spend large parts of your evening in a taxi. The only down side is the price of any extras - the buffet breakfast was expensive for the quality of food on offer (although there was a lot to choose from) and having to pay 145RMB a day for wifi is just bloody annoying!
