Only if you have to get up early anyway

The hotel is seemingly under renovation – the bathrooms are done and very nice but the rest of the hotel appears worn-down: worn (stained?) carpets, water stains on walls and greyish towels.
Worse though; the maids made a racket from 6 o’clock in the morning – loud messages on screechy walkie-talkies and banging doors. Seemingly we were unlucky with early checkouts on our floor on all of the 3 mornings we were there – but still.
The beds are very hard even by Chinese standard. The breakfast is okay– but served in a worn down, drafty room. The wi-fi only worked a few times and only when standing in the door of the room.
The neighbourhood has charm – with street vendors just around the corner every night and metro station close by (3-5 min. walk).
