under construction

When we walked into the motel we discovered a massive construction going on, no pool, no food, no amendities. We went to another motel.

Hotel is under renovation.

Computers didn’t work on check in so you just have to stand in the make shift lobby and wait. Room was nice and renovated but don’t expect much else for a while during renovation. Pool also closed.

Great wifi. No password needed!! Perfect stay. Great breakfast. Took a while to get hot water but then nice shower.

Pros: Rooms are newly remodeled and very nice. The bathroom was gorgeous, love the vanity and lighted mirror.
There was a lot of remodeling going on during my stay which is okay but had to wait for guys to move equipment to be able to get into the front door. Also, when booking the rooms there was an area for requests and I checked boxes for late check-in and roll away beds since we were travelling with kids. They said they had no roll away beds. Then why have a place where you can request them?

Absolutely horrible

I booked this room because We needed a get away for a week. It’s an average of $100 a night which was fine because it’s was a great stay 6 years ago when I stayed. They have a beautiful indoor pool, a gym, and great service. This stay was horrible. First I pull into a complete construction zone. No exaggerating. I couldn’t find the lobby door. Check in was quick but as I left there was a Police officer behind my car looking in my windows. I ask how I can help him he nervously stutters to me “there was a call on a suspicious vehicle that is gray and your car looks like it”. I had literally been there 3 minutes. So I’m uncomfortable at this point but I have done nothing so I stay. Now I have my luggage and I’m entering the long hallway and not only paint chips or drywall or something white was all over the floor throughout the hotel plus an overwhelming smell of fresh paint hits me. It stayed my whole stay. No pool, No gym, nothing. Now It’s my third day at this hotel and I wait all day then finally around 3 PM I had to go into the lobby and ask them if I could please get me trash cans and my towels replaced at the very least. That’s exactly what they did to. On my last night a man was intoxicated banging on the doors of guests and even assulting the man at thefront desk. The police had to be called. It was nowhere near worth $100 a night. I would have been happier at the motel 6. The need to let people know they are under construction. Don’t waste your money.

A so-so hotel stay, but won't return

Pros: The front desk people seemed nice.
Cons: Breakfast, cleaning procedures (such as return once the guests leave the room!), disseminate information that this La Quinta is under construction
There was no information that this hotel was under construction - had I known that, then I would have booked elsewhere. We planned to use the pool, but that was closed due to construction! I stayed on the 8th floor and there was constant noise throughout the day (not a huge deal if you don't have kids, but I had an infant who needed to nap during the day). My room wasn't cleaned everyday (I didn't have the "do not disturb" sign up). It seems as though if you are still in the room while the cleaning people are on your floor, then they will skip your room and apparently won't return! Breakfast was crappy and cheap: not a lot of fruit offered and limited choices on what to eat. It was annoying how I called ahead and was told that I couldn't reserve a crib until I actually arrived even though my hotel room was already booked and paid!! Also, wasn't a fan of construction workers milling around everywhere. It was difficult to find the entrance to this hotel. I drove around twice and my in-laws did as well. There was only a little sign in place to notify people where to enter. Yes, by the looks of the older areas of the hotel, this La Quinta was in serious need of an upgrade, but by the intrusiveness of the construction, I would recommend that this hotel closes down until the major upgrades are finished. OR at least give a discount! In the end, I won't be returning this La Quinta or any other one.

We enjoyed our stay even though the hotel was under construction. Our room was very nice, beds were comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating. Maybe next time we stay the pool will be open.

Undisclosed construction; no pool.

Pros: Convenient location; nice room; (generally) good amenities.
Cons: Scheduling guests in a different part of the hotel than the area being remodeled would be a good start. Warn people the pool is under construction.
Location: There is a convention center 3 minutes from this hotel that was the ultimate destination for my visit. The hotel is absolutely convenient to that.
My room was lovely and the staff members pleasant. However, I was not apprised that the hotel would be under construction during my stay, nor that the pool would be unusable. I was very, very irritated at having construction noise occurring above and around me while I was trying to sleep. I was disappointed not to be able to use the pool. I'd stay there again, but not if there is ongoing construction.
