It's Okay

The room was 'ok'. Room was dusty with cobwebs noted around headboard. It would have been nice to know that the room open from the outside towards the parking lot as well opens from the inside.

Beauty Breakfast

A one night stay when we needed to rest and recuperate. The motel was easy to find and welcome interesting! A mix up with the room numbers was solved when a young woman was hurriedly dispatched to let us know before we got lost!. The staff here were all friendly, polite, clearly liked their jobs and were enthusiastic about their hotel. No wonder, it has been freshly rennovated, is clean and fresh, the beds restful, the rooms a good size, parking onsite and every mod con. Breakfast in the huge reception was exceptionally pleasant with lots of hot food to choose from, real cutlery, china and napkins, not disposable kitchenware. Staff from the evening before took the opportunity to chat. Recommended as value for money.

Walls in Room was dirty. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Just Gross!

Won't Stay here again

We were put in a handicap room. The light fixture in the bathroom was almost coming out of the ceiling. We killed a few spiders in the room. The person who cleaned our room mopped the floor but didn't dry it off. I almost fell when I entered the bathroom. Overall I would rate it as a 1.

Oh so close to that fourth star...

My wife and I are both familiar with this property, having lived in the area once. It is older, and very, very large with a strange layout. Radisson has done a good job trying to update it, but some hiccups remain. First of all, the staff was phenomenal, and tried hard to rectify issues ... but there were simply too many of them. I'm assuming the renovation is continuing. When we checked in, immediately we noticed our room reeked of cigarette smoke. My wife carries an air freshener for just such an emergency, and we pretty much took care of the issue on our own. But then the following popped up: The phone in the room didn't work, so every time we had to talk to the front desk, we had to call the main number from our cell phone. Two wall plugs didn't work. No bedside wall plugs. There was only one baggage cart to serve the hotel. The elevator was a bit dodgy and hadn't been updated. The only ice machine working was on the first floor. On the other hand, the lobby was as good as any 4- or 5-star New York hotel. The breakfast was high-quality. The parking lot brightly lit. The pool was nice. And both the bed and the HVAC worked perfectly, which in the end is the most important thing. I encourage Radisson to keep up the good work here. But it seems like 80 percent of a proper renovation has been done. And until the rest is done, this hotel will have to compete mostly on price, an attentive staff and that knockout of a lobby.

We are a non-smoking facility, but unfortunately, that does not stop all guests from smoking. Please accept our sincere apologies that this was not taken care of before you entered the room. We are awaiting the arrival of new ice machines due to the maintenance issues we were having with our current ones. While we appreciate your positive feedback on our improvements in the lobby, your comments have helped us greatly in identifying areas that still need improvement. Keep looking for a good hotel!!!

We had 5 rooms during a one week stay for a National High School Fishing tournament. We worked on fundraisers for months so the kids in our group could come and participate in this event. We were told we could pay with cash, but when we got there we were told we would have to pay an extra $350 per room as a security deposit. We asked if we could pay cash and use a credit card for the security deposit, but were told we couldn't. So we had to put all the rooms on one parent's credit card. We got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes our 2nd day. The elevator got stuck with other guests at least twice during our stay. There was one ice machine in the entire building that worked. Advertised as having a laundry room--one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel. We requested refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms since we were staying a whole week. On check in we were told they were all in use. Then were told we would have them on Monday--never came. Couldn't seem to get clean towels and washcloths until very late in the evening. Kids came home from fishing all day and couldn't even take a shower. Floors throughout the hallways were filthy--same stains all week and they were never mopped. Swimming pool had 3 ladders to get in to the pool with--2 of the ladders had loose top steps and 3 members of our party sustained some type of injury because of it. The website boasts 2 restaurants--if you count the continental breakfast as one and the bar (that opens at 5pm) as another

We will be addressing the issue you experienced at the front desk when checking in. I'm unsure of why you would have been told that you could not use a credit card for a security deposit. We have had the elevator repaired since your stay. We experienced issues with too many people getting on the elevator, and unfortunately, they refused to listen when we advised them there were too many people on it. This caused issues for other guests, and we sincerely regret that your group experienced problems. We will also be working with the housekeeping department to resolve the issues you had during your stay. Please know that your comments will be used constructively to identify areas that need improvement.

Terrible

I never give bad reviews but this was terrible. Spiderwebs, killed spiders, bathroom was not clean, smelled terrible.
