Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms and environment showed a little wear and tear, but the things that matter, ie lovely, spacious, comfortable bathroom and wonderfully comfy bed, were great. It will definitely be my 'go to' hotel in Sheffield.
Quick check in. Friendly staff helped us with directions for public transport to the Arena. Good sleep in comfy beds. Nice breakfast but catering staff were a. Bit slow at restocking the buffet and utensils.
Clean and cozy hotel with friendly staff. Room was well presented and was very clean. Bed was soft and had plenty of pillows which is usually a sicking point with hotels and we have to request more. Super stay
Very nice room but the stay was spoilt by insufficient staff in the dining room so after queuing for some time gave up on having breakfast there.
Comfortable clean room with all the required facilities at a reasonable price. The staff at reception and in the bar were very helpful. Free wifi in room was a definite plus point.
Room was a good size and had all faciities but carpet very stained. Pool and gym was good but white cladding around whirlpool was broken and steam room out of order. Reception staff were fantastic but bar staff very slow and drinks extortionate- £7-00 for a glass of prosecco- really!!!!
Surprisingly pleased by the hotel and it’s room, wasn’t expecting it to be so nice. Only thing that let it down was the breakfast. Not enough choice for cooked breakfast and small area for serving in so quite large queues.
We had a really nice stay - room was clean and modern and had a TV. The spa pool was small but nice, including a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Had no availability for treatments which was a shame. We ate at the restaurant the first night which was really nice but expensive. We ate snacks in the ...
Had a steak sandwich in the bar, It was cold and needed reheating ( the chips were hot). The smoke alarm in the bedroom annoyingly flashed red all night. There was no flannel in the bathroom. The staff were most welcoming and very helpful.
We had been to Sheffield arena to see Mrs Browns Boys and decided to stay over. We had a very.nice stay and would recommend to others. We didn't realise it was so big. It needs a bit of an update but the bed was comfy and the food was excellent at The Ruddy Duck. Lily the waitress had only been working ...
The staff were super friendly when we arrived and tried to accommodate us as best as they possibly could . The rooms were spacious and while the bed wasn't the comfiest I've slept in it certainly wasn't the worst. This is an ideal hotel for 1 or 2 nights but for longer stays a comfier hotel is probably ...
Booked this specifically for Christmas Shopping as no decent shops where we live! The hotel is the old Garrison, as the name suggests. The room was more than adequate, comfortable bed. Breakfast all you could want, from cereal to the full English, coffee, tea etc. All excellent. Food in the Garrison ...
I stayed here for two nights in September in order to explore the Peak District. I arrived the first night weary and tired, but I was soon livened up by some tasty food and drink, and later on some live music in the bar area! The rooms near the parking area out back are well away from the lively ...
