I came to this hotel for a getaway and to swim I was not told that the pool was closed for remodeling upon booking, and I was not compensated for my inconvenience

This property is undergoing major renovations of which they have not posted on the site. No elevator unless you walk through the laundry room (not the guest use laundry room but where they clean the hotel linens). The pool is not open which we didn’t find out until we arrived which did not excite the kids. Pool was main reason we booked this hotel. Hotel offered nothing in discounts for the inconvenience. We needed up having to go to a local rec center so the kids could swim which had a fee. We will not stay here again.
The seating area of the chairs were highly stained, the carpet was moldy in various places and the ceiling had excessive water damage. I have pictures of all the things I am reporting. This is not well received and to top it off the hallways were loud all night and morning. Very poor property and would expect a full refund.
The room was definitely not worth $185 dollars at all. I have had better rooms for way less. The hot tub wasn't worth the cost. You did also have a mini fridge, microwave and tv but the tv wasn't even a smart tv. The floor between the bed and wall was wet, also could see on the ceiling over the window where it looked like water had leaked through that floor as well previously. The floor surrounding the hot tub in the room on one side was sticky from possibly a spilled alcoholic beverage. Other then that the room was ok and the bathroom was very clean. The best part of the stay were some of the staff from the front desk clerks to the breakfast lady. I won't be back though mainly because of the price and cleanliness (attention to detail).
The rooms in this property are "tired". They were fairly clean (found hair in the shower!) but it just didn't have the feel of more modern Hampton Inn's that we have stayed in. We probably won't book this one again.
I loyally choose Hampton Inn because I know that it holds a standard for cleanliness but this room was not up to standard. The table top and bathroom counter felt grimmy the whirlpool was dirty and had all kinds of little hairs stuck on the walls. Had to clean it myself to use. The bathroom was dirty, the grout especially along the walls was really dirty. There was an office chair that the back was completely ripped out of. The biggest disappointment was when we finally got into bed, we kept hearing a drip when we turned on the light we saw that the ceiling was dripping from a patched spot on the ceiling. By this time it was super late, we had to be up early for an event and the bedding was at least clean. So we laid a towel where the drip was hitting and went to sleep. When we informed front desk while checking out she just apologized. I know we should have told front desk when it was happening but we didn’t check in until 9pm and the staff seemed frazzled with fully booked rooms and technical issues due to the storm the night before. So we felt like we could just suck it up but for the price we paid and how disappointed we felt, I figured it was worth mentioning. We did not take pictures I really wasn’t planning on complaining
In this hotel, the rooms are not cleaned every day. At the same time, there are no warnings about this. if you want your room to be cleaned, you need to tell about it 24 hours in advance. That is, if you plan to stay in this hotel for two days, then on the day of check-in, you should be told that your room will be cleaned tomorrow.
