Surprisingly Nice Hotel In Small Town IndianaPosted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: The renovated condition, easy access from the freeway, acceptable breakfast, and nice small-town to experience. Easy drive to Indianapolis.
Cons: Nothing. For a budget hotel, this met and exceeded my expectations.
Location: See a show at the volunteer run and beautifully restored Strand Theater. Eat at Crosstown Bar/Grill or Pizza King.
The hotel really blew away my expectations. Out of experience of staying at budget hotels in big cities, I had little hope of this hotel being in a good, new, clean condition. But I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has been recently renovated, with everything looking new. The room had nice paint/wallpaper, with no wear or tear to be seen. The hotel did have a brand-new carpet smell, but that's negligible when considering how nice everything looked. I really appreciated the fact that all the beds have 2 sets of pillows, one firm and one soft. My night's sleep depends on my pillow combination and comfort, and this hotel had the perfect options for a picky sleeper. The bathroom was spacious and (one of my tell-tale signs of a good hotel) the bathtub drained well. The continental breakfast was a little above average, with 2 flavors of waffles, prepared cheese omelets, sausage, yogurt, toast, bagels, oatmeal, and cereal. And of course coffee. The indoor pool looked nice and clean, but I didn't have the chance to take a dip. It's conveniently located right off the highway, and an easy 25 minute drive from Indianapolis, in a quite and quaint Midwestern town. Feel more than free to explore the downtown area, with noted visits to beautiful Strand Theater and multi-tap craft beer restaurant, Crosstown Bar and Grill.

Lady who checked us in was very helpful and moved our room to assist us with access to outside. Gave us easier directions to the venue than Google or Map Quest. Gave us phone number in case we got lost coming back to hotel. Enjoyed the stay.

Dirty RoomPosted Oct 20, 2015
Arrived at Hotel about 10 pm and was looking forward to a rest after traveling all day. Room was not ready for us. Sheets were dirty, bathroom was dirty. Spoke to the front desk and they sent people up to change the sheets. We were so tired we didn't care about the other items. We spoke to to Donna the Manager upon check out the next day and she promised to take care of us. She sent me an e-mail the next day saying she would not charge us for the room and had notified Expedia since I had booked the room through you. Paul Rine

A Good Night's RestPosted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel staff was very kind. The hotel was under construction renovation. So it was a little dusty in there. My room had an odor to it. Other than that, my stay was fine and I would give the hotel my business again. They were quite accommodating to me.

Something nice for a small get awayPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Indoor pool, free breakfast, close to a couple of restaurants and close to interstate
Cons: Maybe opening the pool earlier in the morning and leaving it open later
My experience was a good one with my family. It was a short trip from our home, but yet it was a fun time to be out of town. It was a good stay, except the beds were a little hard for our comfort

Cheap hotel but a little out of date. Needs a remodel or something to jazz it up.

Was dispointed that pool was cold. I won't be staying there again.I will book at comfort suites instead.
