Smoke smell is obtrusive, even though I'm a non-smoking room. Mildew on the walls. Fan in bathroom made knocking sounds if not left on. Maybe we received a bummer room.

Fair place to stay the night

Fairly average motel. Clean, friday staff. Small pool and hot tub. Breakfast was not very good.

Nice quiet hotel close to interstate

This hotel had friendly staff, it was quiet, with the exception of a few stains on the carpet it was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was hearty. I would definitely stay again!

Near Talon Tasting Room is only real plus

Pros: Proximity to Talon Winery, Cattleman's, and Simpsonville Outlet Mall.
Cons: Hotel staff
Location: Eating, shopping, winery
Walking distance to excellent steakhouse, Cattleman's, with connecting stoned walking path. Across the street from Talon Winery Tasting Room, which is a must-stop. Otherwise, extremely disappointing hotel and hotel staff, especially in light of the pricing. Outdated rooms with trashy fridge/microwave set up, stacked on top of each other in a corner. Tiny bathroom with stained walls and cracked floors. Sub-par breakfast options. But most disappointing was the staff. The desk worker during the day spoke to me as if I never had stayed in a hotel before, making sure to repeat more than once that they needed my credit card to ensure that their hotel stayed nice (which it wasn't). The next morning, she told a random guests they were her favorites in front of others, complained about putting away the breakfast items at almost noon as I was waiting to check out, and stayed on the phone helping someone to book a birthday party at a completely different facility (not even another Ramada hotel, just a local events center) while myself and two other parties stood and watched, needing her attention. I'm not sure if she was new or not, but regardless, she's in desperate need of customer service training. Perhaps the night desk worker (on the night of 4/1/16) could help her out, as he was excellent and courteous to myself and anyone else I saw him interact with.
