Used to be a nice hotel

Everything in the room and in the hotel looked like it had been nice once, but no one really maintained it anymore. The room stank like something was rotting. Water had pooled under the mini-fridge, and there were a variety of stains all over the carpet. The beds, sheets, and bathroom were all clean. The linens and pillows looked nice. The TV was a flatscreen. It just needs some TLC and a carpet shampoo.

Over rated- especially price

Pros: The bed was comfortable and linen nice.
Cons: Drink vending machines empty. Lower rates please over charging.
Bed and bedding were fine. Room was clean but carpet worn. Bathroom was so small, only one person could use the room at a time. Stayed in a Hampton Inn in Baltimore for the same room rate. Twice a nice all around. This Comfort Inn was over-rated and charging way too much money for a two reg. bed- 2 adults. Room maybe worth $75.00 plus tax...tops!

Nice hotel close to the freeway and the city.

Pros: Pet friendly, convenient to the city center and the freeway.
Cons: Bathroom cleanliness was satisfactory but could be improved.
Location: Staunton is a wonderful Virginia city to explore - lots of great history that has been well preserved.
Hotel staff was welcoming and polite, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast served provided ample options.

The staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable and met our expectations. We arrived late after heavy traffic and left early to be on our way,so didn't spend much time at the hotel. The only slight negative about our stay was the breakfast. The hot food was highly processed, but the waffle was very good and the coffee was also good.

Good Hotel

Booked on line. They put us on top floor as requested. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. Location was good, have to pay attention when pulling into hotel as the driveway is shared with Waffle House and you can drive past it. Parking was good. Room was clean, A/C worked great, No oders, very quite. Breakfast was normal, not bad. Would stay there again.

Halfway to Gatlinburg.

It was a halfway stop on the way to Gatlinburg. Bed was very comfortable, staff very pleasant, and it was right off the highway. Could not be easier to get to.

We had to change from our first room because of a terrible odor. The second room was ok. The hotel could really use some updating as everything seemed very old and worn. Beds were comfortable.
