"In the middle of Shibuya!"
First of all- the location of this hotel was amazing- within 3 minutes to the famous crossing and Shibuya station. If you're partying in the Shibuya area at night, being able to walk to your hotel instead of worrying about the trains (most of which stop around 12am) is a real luxury. The hotel's staff were extremely courteous and willing to help. However, the caveat to that politeness is that most lack the ability to speak English proficiently. Even the most basic requests (i.e. How do I get to Shibuya station?) were difficult to convey. The rooms are a little dated and could do with an upgrade. Views are excellent especially from a higher floor. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The location was excellent and the staff's attitude and willingness to help (despite their lack of English) is to be commended. Would stay again!

"Excellent facilities and location"
Great hotel location as it's right smack in between Harajuku and Shibuya. We took a slow 20 mins stroll from Shibuya back to the hotel in the freezing cold and the bowl of ramen provided by the hotel really helped to warm us up. Thought it was a really nice gesture provided by the hotel. However, our room that was given to us was a corner room (even though we requested not to have a corner room) that was facing the train tracks, and it was quite disturbing for a light sleeper like me to have to hear the trains every 3 mins.

"Small but nice"
Very clean and small hotel, great area for quiet walks but close enough to the crazy Shibuya train stop and shopping. I just stayed here for one night, awaiting flight out of Narita.

The hotel staffs were very professional and courteous. Smoking room was not too smelly for a non-smoker.

"Everything You Need Right in Shibuya!"
The Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-minamiguchi is an easy walk from the Shibuya Station minamiguchi (South entrance) gate. Shibuya Station is massive and complicated. You should get a good map of it before you arrive. It serves several train lines and underground lines and there are many gates on several levels. The Shin-minamiguchi side of the station has more office towers than shops. That’s o.k., though, as it is relatively quiet at night. You will feel very safe and surrounded with like-minded people if you find yourself walking back to the hotel late in the evening. Our room had a kitchenette that included a small fridge, a microwave, one burner (a hob), a large basin (sink) and its own washing machine! There are pots and pans, plates and tea cups, electric kettle, etc. All you need for some light cooking, or at least warming up some takeaway food. Our room had plenty of closet space and drawers to put everything away. The flat screen TV was large (and gets CNN), the bed was comfortable. Best of all, we had our own balcony! It wasn’t large, but we could step out in the evening and look over the Shin-Minamiguchi side of Shibuya, see and hear the trains going by, see the office workers head home and get a sense of what it’s like (sort of) to live in Tokyo. The hotel is just past a Family Mart. This will prove very useful if you stay awhile. The convenience store is open 24 hours and sells a bit of everything at reasonable prices (particularly handy for well-priced beer and wine!

"Nice hotel close to everything you need "
Nice little hotel and great staff. The front desk is opened 24 hours. If you're after breakfast with your stay then this is not the place for you. They only offer coffee and pastries in the morning. But there are loads of places to have breakfast close by (not bacon & eggs). We stayed in a 15sqm room which was a good size for us. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Would stay there again.

"Fantastic hotel close to the heart of Shibuya"
I stayed here for a week with my wife and brother-in-law in a Japanese style room. This meant tatami mats on the floor, shoji panels separating the restroom area from the main room, and no chairs. This was perfect for us as it gave a very nice and cozy feeling to the room; just like a second home! The mats were very comfortable and the blankets and pillows were perfect for a full night's rest. I absolutely loved our room! This hotel shines in its fantastic service. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were also able to speak English without an issue, which is great because our Japanese is limited. They always greeted us with a friendly smile and a warm welcome whenever we returned from journeying through the city. What was also great was, as I am diabetic, they had a place for me to store my insulin at the front desk. Without any issues I was able to bring my medicine to the front desk and I was confident in knowing it would be waiting for me the next day. As far as location goes, it's fantastic. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya's center, ensuring a quite night's sleep, but it's close enough that a 10-15 minute walk gets you to the station. There's plenty of food options and convenience stores nearby as well as a laundromat within 15 minutes walk as well. The location was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have been happier. Everything about this place was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again!!

My friend and I just got back from our stay in Tokyo. We wanted to stay in Shibuya which has a lot to offer. This hotel was in a prime location as it was accessible by train to and from both airports. The room was reminiscent of a room on a cruise ship as it was smaller than the average room in the USA however, it's my understanding that smaller rooms is something common in Japan. The room was decorated nicely, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. They gave us the wireless wifi router that was mailed to the hotel prior to our arrival and even let us borrow an umbrella when it rained upon us leaving. The room was cozy and very clean. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash was awesome and lets not forget the heated toilet seat lol. There was a family mart down the block to stock up on snacks and drinks. It's a prime location for eating and shopping as well. I totally recommend this hotel.

Pocket Guide: Shibuya, Minato Spa Hotels

A busy, youth-oriented shopping district, Shibuya is equally famous for the NHK studios, Olympic gymnasium, and “Hachiko”—the statue of a faithful dog. On weekends, its Harajuku area is abuzz with the meeting and mingling of Tokyo’s most fashionable teens. Neighboring Ebisu, a short subway ride from here, offers a pleasant, quiet alternative to Shibuya.
