Great location and friendly staff

Was a nice hotel that is convenient to everything that Ginza has to offer. Rooms are quite small, however. In-hotel breakfast options are a great value as well.

Great stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn in Shimbashi

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Location, location, location. Easy walking to surrounding sights and access to Tokyo metro was great. Staff really friendly and professional.
Cons: Instruction card on how to operate the dehumidifier and AC system would be helpful.
Location: 2min walk to Shimbashi Station. 7-Eleven, Daichi Hotel for easy currency exchange. Convenience store located at 1st floor. McDonalds close by.
The location is excellent. You are right off the JR line, basically a few minutes walk. The Tokyo Metro lines are a few minutes more but are located within Shimbashi Station. There is a convenience store located right below and a McDonalds a block away. If you need access to currency, small bills can be exchanged at the Daichi Hotel next door or you can go around the block to the 7-Eleven and use your debit card for $100+ exchanges. Walk to the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji Fish Market, Ginza or Tokyo Station. All within a 20 minute walk. Rooms are clean and staff is wonderful. Our flight out was in the afternoon and they stored our luggage while we spent one last day exploring Tokyo. Access to Haneda is a monorail & train ride totaling 25min. We got from the airport to the hotel in 30 minutes. Rooms are smaller than US hotels. Our room was facing the tracks and it was pretty cool to see all the trains and the Shinkansen pull into and out of Shimbashi Station. We did not have problems sleeping at all, but you can hear the trains pass by.

Convenience and friendly staff

Stayed there for 2 nights, overall very good. Room is clean and staff is very friendly. Room a bit small but it's ok as most of japan room are small. Few mins walk to station and close to shop. If you are planning to stay close tsujiki market, you can consider this place. 20-25 mins walk to the market.

Great location, clean small functional room.

I've stayed here for 2 nights and consider coming back again in the future. Hotel is a 3 mins walk to Shimbashi station which is excellent to go around JR line. Walking distance to Ginza area too. Plenty of restaurants to choose from for dinner. There is a convenience store that opens for 24hrs per day and you can buy the essential items here right next to hotel. Hotel is clean as seen in photo. Room is small but functional.

Excellent budget option

Posted May 29, 2017 on Hotels
An excellent budget option, this hotel is close to the Yamanote line which in turn connects to the main Tokyo station (two stops) and the Narita Airport Express. The rooms are small but perfectly functional and comfortable; the staff are very friendly and speak good English; there are several breakfast options, and the hotel is well located to walk to either the business district or the Ginza shopping district.
