"Outrageously comfortable. "
5 stars in every respect. Beautifully kept hotel and grounds, large guest rooms, one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, convenient to transportation. Lovely all around.

"Great tatami Room "
This is a review of the tatami rooms at the hotel. These rooms are located on the 4th and 5th floor of a five story building. There are 9 rooms on each floor. We were 2 families traveling together. Our 4th floor room had a large area for taking off shoes and a closet as we enter. This is where we ended up leaving our luggage. We had 4 luggages and there were still room to move around. A separate living space where the futon (Japanese bedding) were already setup when we checked in the evening. There's a separate seating area by the window (nothing to see). Bathroom was old but very clean. Separate sink, toilet and shower with tub. A refrigerator, kettle and setting for tea (no coffee maker). The bedding was soft and warm. However, the comforters were a little short for my 6' son and husband. In the morning, you can put the bedding in the closet and you have quite a bit of room to move around. We were too lazy and just shoved to the side. The other family had a room on the 5th floor. Their living room was larger but smaller front door area and toilet (so small your knee is up against the wall). They had enough room to set-up 5 futons. Traveling with small children, they were able to buy take-out dinner from the train station and enjoy them in the room. We highly recommend these rooms for families or anyone who wants to try living "Japanese style". It does require you to sit on the floor with no shoes- so be warned.

"Just right for getting un-lagged."
Express bus from Narita Airport drops you right at the door. Very efficient check in. We stayed on the Club floor. Great value with breakfasts and light suppers there. Very pretty hotel and grounds. Easy access to Shinagawa station and the rest of Tokyo. Good Japanese restaurant on site.

"Very convenient and comfortable."
Only a few mins walk just across the street from Shinagawa station. From the station, walk across the pedestrian crossing then you should see McDonalds. Walk through the small arcade and the Prince hotel should be easy to find. Note, there are several Prince hotels in the area and some have separate buildings so it might just be a matter of asking for directions. Room size quite comfortable and above average for a JP business hotel. I stayed in the North building paying a little extra for a room that includes access to the business lounge which includes breakfast. Whilst the business lounge is very comfortable, artistic and modern, downside is no alcohol served, so be mindful if this is a priority. Breakfast is western consisting of salad (one choice), bacon, scrambled eggs, croissant/bread and chicken soup. Whilst reasonable, I preferred to buy a bento box at the station. For the business lounge, a simple idea would be to offer a complimentary drink per night then any additional alcohol would be charged. A simple revenue stream. If arriving via Haneda, beware that there is no JR line connecting to the airport. Options are to catch the monorail or Keikyu line which is then easy to connect to JR. There are plenty of airport staff to assist. For extended/repeat visits, I recommend to pick up a (prepaid) IC card (Suica) and again staff can easily help with this - can be used for both monorail and Keikyu etc.

"Close to the station and Aeon."
This hotel is so close to Shinagawa Seaside station, making it easy to go anywhere in Tokyo. There is an Aeon (supermarket/department store) right beneath the hotel in case you need to buy food for breakfast or supper. Ohh and there are tons of restaurants around too. The only downside is that there is no direct bus to/from the airport. Make sure you print out a google map before arriving in tokyo. We got lost at first because we didnt have any maps and our mobile phone didnt have any internet data. Other than that, its an awesome place and would def stay here again on our next visit to Tokyo!

Pocket Guide: Shinagawa, Tokyo Romantic Hotels

Historically the district where feudal lords lived during the Tokugawa Shogunate, this area is now home to many global businesses, including Sony headquarters. It also holds Sengaku-ji Temple, the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, and the city’s second-largest train station. West of the station is Takanawa, an upscale residential neighborhood.
