This hotel is a gem located on the quiet edge of Shinjuku. The check-in was done in 30 seconds, and the housekeeping staff was efficient and friendly. For any first-time visitor to Tokyo, this would be the place I recommend.

Especially the staff is very impolite, and rude also and not in any helpful in helping out for anything. I have traveled and stayed in many other hotels before but the worst one. The price is considered on the high end for condition of the hotel.

Musty smelling room. 1 outlet in the entire room. You had to choose between having the TV, the fridge, the hairdryer, or a place to to charge your phone. For the price you can stay at a much nicer hotel with none of these issues.

Location was 3 minutes walk from Sanchome Subway exit C7. Staff were welcoming and everything was fine. The room heating temperature can only be set between 20C and 23C. Even at 20C, the room became too warm. So I had to switch off the heating, which then became a bit too cold at times. It will also be good if hotel can provide umbrellas during rainy days. I will still choose this hotel if I visit Tokyo again. Location was great.

Hotel was very near to train stations. Plenty of food choices within walking distance. Room was cosy. Basic but sufficient for a solo traveller. Fuss free check-in. Convenient ice maker machine and beer vending machine right outside room

Worth the price, despite small size
I booked this hotel as it was the cheapest option in Shinjuku that had a private room and bathroom, so to be fair with my rating, I must factor in the low price. I had a single room and double room. The single room has no space to stand even, for more than one person. The double room had a small bit of walking space. The bathrooms were very cramped. If you're large-sized, you may have trouble fitting inside. Everything was impeccably clean, as Japanese culture dictates. Fast internet. High-pressure hot shower. The hotel is old, but spotlessly clean. The location is a 12 mins walk away from the main area of Shinjuku. Didn't try the breakfast. Only one power outlet. Despite its tiny size, it's worth the price considering location and hotel prices in general. Just treat it as some place to crash at night, not spend time in. If you spend your daytime here (maybe a rest day), it'll feel like a prison cell.

Staff at the front desk were super nice and helpful. We checked out as bit last by accident and didn’t get charged. At new also held our baggage for a couple of hours.

The room was very small and different from the pictures shown. The staff cannot understand english which made it difficult for us to communicate. They are not very accomodating and even charged us an overpriced taxi reservation. Facilities are very out-dated. Bathroom is also very small that you can hardly move. They have no luggage storage which cost us so much inconvenience to push our luggages and pay lockers in the train station. This hotel is a big no for me.

Kind of yuck
Good location a little walk to shinjuku but convenient. The room was a good size but had old and faded bed linens. The restaurant in the hotel was only open for 2 hours in the morning? This hotel is nothing special but if youre saving money and dont want to stay in a hostel its alright.

Not worth the savings
Booked five other hotels in Japan for this trip, each reservation was for one room with one bed and one room with two beds. Only this hotel got upset that I had two people in a two bed room. Charged me an additional 30% over the already higher rate for the two bed room. The hotel is clean and in a good location but it is very old (bathroom fixtures were cracked and stained, carpet is worn and stained, furniture is worn and bed was very hard). I also had to take two elevators to get to a fourth floor room.

The hotel is within walking distance of Shinjuku Station. The bed was comfy although only a semi double. The rooms are quite small. We wanted a bed and a shower for the night and it was perfect for that

The room size is good for its price and it’s walking distance to the Shinjuku san chome station. The reception is not very friendly, esp one particular guy who is near rude. He scolded me for checking out 10 mins late and was calling every room demanding why they had not checked out and threatened to charge them.

Hotel staff very friendly. Rooms emitted an odd and stale smell. Mould lined the bathroom door frames which could be potentially hazardous to visitor health. Furniture in rooms very outdated. Odd policy of leaving keys with hotel staff when leaving. Nonetheless, staff were very friendly, breakfast was well presented, traditional and tasty. Met what is expected of a budget hotel just perhaps more effort could be put toward the room amenities and long-term cleaning.

For the price, you couldn't ask for better. I was initially concerned about walking to/from Shinjuku station but I ended up buying Tokyo subway tickets from the front counter of the hotel and using Shinjuku Sanchome station which is easier to travel around Tokyo anyway. Staff at front counter were always so happy and nice to us. I had the western breakfast one day, I was full most of the day from! I never had an issue sleeping in the bed which was really good size for singe person.

Good area central to Shinjuku shopping and station. Pretty outdated hotel with rooms very tight, there was little space to put belongings, but I guess that’s reflective of price.

Just what I Needed

Friendly staff, convenient location
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, work with efficiency. Small cozy room but this is great for such budget, can do better as I saw a dirt in shower curtain... Convenient location, with "Family Mart" just a minute walking from hotel; few minutes to reach Metro station and Isetan Department Store. Recommended hotel to review a better directory for visitors, say which station exit/ direction to hotel/ tourists spots.

Good Value and Good Location in an Older Hotel
This place was a really good value in a great location: just a short walk to Shinjuku Station, an even shorter walk to Shinjuku Sanchome Station, and just a block away from Shinjuku Nichome, Tokyo's gay neighborhood! Some may claim it's bad merely because it's an old business hotel, but it did its job well. PROS: -Wifi was good, a rarity in Japan, especially with older hotels like this -Bed was comfy and big enough for me (I'm 6'3"/190cm) -Quiet: Didn't see nor hear another guest while I was there (5 nights) save for the lobby plus street noise was minimal -Overall, room was clean and well-equipped especially for a business hotel in Japan. While not big my any means, I was able to easily store 2 large suitcases out of the way, put all my clothes in the room's dresser and closet, and there was even a little fridge. The bathroom had all the amenities of a typical Japanese hotel (full bath, movable shower head, shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, yukata, etc.) CONS: -You can't bring ANYONE to your room AT ALL. One main reason I got a hotel was for "privacy". I understand not having someone stay overnight, but having NO ONE in my room for any amount of time was ridiculous. -The hotel is two buildings and I was in the "annex" building. I had to take one elevator up to the second floor then walk a long hallway (with a low door that I hit my head on) to another elevator to access it. Needless to say, taking two large suitcases there was challenging, but I got used to it.

The hotel room and bathroom are very small, not much space to place our 2 luggages. As we are small size so it is still ok for us. Location is quite ok. Not far to Shinjuku main area and bus terminal. 2 staff were not friendly and not helpful. We wanted to borrow a knife to cut our apple but he rejected it. The next day another staff lent us.
