Great location to South Coast Beaches and WineriesSecond time we have stayed and unfortunately just one night. The rooms in the “lodge” are dated but clean, pity the bathrooms are so small as the unit is very large.

    About Historic Hotels

Traveling can be more than just breaking up your daily grind, it can also be about taking in the culture and history of a place. An ideal way to get a feel for the culture of a region is to absorb yourself in its history. Exploring the region's landmarks or museums is a good start, but staying in a historic hotel can ferry you back to the past. Pack your suitcases (you won't need a time machine) as your historic hotel awaits.

Although these hotels are older, they have many modern conveniences to help you relax or keep in touch during your getaway. You'll discover rooms furnished with a cozy bed and just about everything you'll want for a marvelous visit.

After you've checked-in and had a look around the hotel property, you can continue to take in this culturally-rich area by checking out the prominent landmarks and museums. Of course, all this time traveling is going to work up an appetite. Make sure to speak with your hotel's front desk to point you to where a couple of the popular places to grab a drink or a meal in are. You can also check the comments and read the places other travelers to thought were worth visiting.
