“Cosy, well-decorated, full of thoughtful touches like local gingerbread to have with your brews. Really wonderful place to escape to. As the property runs on solars/generator in winter we had an issue with a power outage one evening when the generator didn't kick in properly, but we had somebody on-site to fix it and back up within half an hour.”

“The overall aspect of the property was misleading, the property wasn't of a standard that I would expect from a Vrbo property or any rental property, the cleanliness was far from acceptable, massive cobwebs in a few rooms, stains on carpets, rugs that we really a bad trip hazards, the one at the top of the stairs which we moved, sofa bed not fit for purpose, stains on bedding, dishwasher didn't clean properly, no welcome pack, lights in the small bedroom wasn't working, mold and grime build up……

The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. ”

“Amazing! Helens' cottage is beautiful. A hidden gem, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious ,clean ,and everything you need is there and all good quality. Don't let the 4ft bed put you off, it's so comfy and you'd be missing out on a fantastic break. It's peaceful, amazing views, walks. Only a short walk to Llangollen, such a pretty town. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it .Helens' attention to detail is no less than perfect.”

“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……
