Passing Thru Shreveport on I-20

Pros: Easy access from the Interstate, desk staff were personable, clean rooms.
Cons: The breakfast bar should have scrambled eggs w/o cheese, freshen the carpets and a/c units
Location: Within minutes of the casinos and downtown/outlet area shopping. Easy on and off of the Interstate but not set up for 18 wheelers.
Although the rooms need air conditioning upgrades and firmer mattresses, our room was very accommodating. My parents room was not as requested on the Expedia sight. We requested a handicap accessible room, the bathroom was not set up for handicap. We were told, "you should have called us", which I feel is not correct, if we place the request in writing on the reservation, we shouldn't have to "Call" to over-check on our requests. The breakfast was very nice and inviting. Although the young woman preparing the dining area was a little off-putting with her demeanor and condescending looks she gave the diners.

Pros: The sign in front looked nice.
Cons: Please just put your rooms on a maintenance rotation. Make sure the room smells properly, any damages are fully repaired.
I stayed in room 106. In the words of my daughter, it smelled like "Play Dough". I would say, it just smelled disturbing. This particular room was not maintained properly. The bathroom door was damaged, and the knob wouldn't lock properly. The mattress was very firm. The breakfast was not the best selection, eggs and sausage looked like they were sitting there a long time and I came down toward the beginning of breakfast. I wonder if they reuse eggs and sausage from the prior day. Wouldn't put it past them. I am extremely tolerant, I promise. This place though, is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

The elevator smelled bad and gave me a bad impression of the hotel.

We had a problem with water geting into the elevator shaft, causing the smell. We are scheduled for a complete renovation of the elevator. Thank you for your comments

Rooms are smelly of smoke and shower water isnot consistant keeps cutting. Not a bad place if ur u need a quick stop for a night but the people there seem to live there so dont leave any valuables in your room

Interior access and not a casino - good for us.

Hotel was good and staff was great. Hotel in renovation process. Our room had all updated but tub and carpet - neither would keep us from staying again. We did have to update room "keys". Breakfast had good variety and was well maintained. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.

An okay nights stay

The hotel staff was wonderful and very respectful. The hotel is older and you can hear the cars from the Interstate. Our room was not cleaned very well and it seemed someone just shaved in the bathroom. The smoke detector was beeping and we were told to just take the battery out because there was NO one who could change it till the morning. Parking was oKay and you can not use your key card to access the side doors have to walk around to the main entrance or back entrance if you park on the sides. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and they keep it stocked at all times.
