"We came to Zen and Pine Resort to hike Mt. Yushan. Although that wasn’t possible due to road closure, on the manager’s advice, we instead visited nearby Sun Moon Lake and hiked Mt. Shuishe, which was amazing and rescued our whole trip. I can’t say enough good things about the management of this property. "Room was pretty ok. What turned me off was the person at the restaurant/ make shift check in counter told me if I did not like the room, I could leave, he is fine with it. This leaves me thinking what's wrong with the place? There is no proper entrance. It is more of a going through a restaurant to get to the rooms. Room was spacious and was clean. Bathroom was alright. The photos were nicer"

"This is the first time we stayed in a 民宿 in Taiwan and we are glad that we made a good choice。 Laurel Villa is a well designed and well managed facility for travelers to get a good night sleep。 We enjoyed friendly reception once entering the 民宿. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent with many varieties of tasty Taiwanese dishes. We especially appreciated the sunrise bike tour led by the owner, Mr. Wang, who is very knowledgeable about the history, geology, and ecology of Sun Moon Lake. He guided us to the best places for sunrise photography along bike paths of the lake. My whole family including two grandkids enjoyed his warm hospitality during our two-day stay at Laurel Villa during Christmas HOLIDAYs."
