Good to have airport transfer but far from city

It looks like it's close to the city on Expedia but it's an hour away. Still airport transfer was handy. The restaurant in the hotel is good and so is breakfast. The hotel staff speak just enough English to check in but don't get too complicated.

Good value

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help. The rooms were well appointed. The only thing letting the hotel down was the non smoking room which I requested smelled like someone was smoking in it, which was annoying.

Terrible Airport Shuttle Service

This hotel's shuttle service is terrible. After my flight landed at PEK, I called the hotel to pick me up, the came after 1 hour, then drove to another terminal to wait, wait, and wait.. It took more than 3 hours to finally get to hotel. Wifi at hotel was down, I told them the problems, and it took more than 24 hours to fix it.

Not in Working Order - book cheaper hotel

Location: It's fairly close to the airport and there is a free shuttle. Otherwise, not a happening area.
We spent one night here during a 24 hour layover in Beijing. I only speak English. The staff is friendly, but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Number one, the Wifi is terrible. It's not just slow, it's difficult simply to connect. Lobby Wifi is bad. Room wifi is worse. Being a traveler dependent on Wifi to plan and coordinate, this was a major issue for us. Much of the hotel rooms and hallways smell like smoke. The initial room we were given had a leak in the ceiling (it was raining that day) and water was literally dripping onto the bed. The staff apologized and upgraded us to a suite, but the suite smelled like smoke. It's supposedly a non-smoking hotel, but there are ashtrays in the rooms. We stayed here in late May, but the Air Conditioning did not work and blew out hot air instead. Needless to say, it was a very hot night and one in which I got very little sleep. The refrigerator left items cool, but not the kind of cold that a working refrigerator would. Free shuttle to the airport, but the driver was semi-rude and definitely did not have a customer service-oriented approach. Waited 25 minutes for pickup at the Airport because the valet was holding a sign for us with our names on it in the wrong terminal, despite having been told the flight number. Without some assistance from some friendly locals at the airport, we probably would have had to take a taxi. Hotel staff has limited to no English abilities.

VERY GOOD PLACE IN BEIJING

I can recommend this hotel. It was a quiet and comfortable place to rest after a 12 hour flight. The shower also was wonderful! The hotel staff were helpful.

Ok hotel

Stayed here twice. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Wifi was so slow on both occasions that I could say it does not work. The restaurant is superb. Bathrooms are clean. Water temperature is not consistent. Mattress and pillow comfort is above average for Chinese hotel. Because of water temp and wifi problems I can not recommend for a comfortable stay, but the price is right for a layover if you are not to picky...

Hotel in vicinity of Beijing airport

Problems started from my very arrival to Beijing airport. Despite declared shuttle bus service, I did not find it on hotels bus stop near the terminal. The telephone number mentioned in Expedia reservation was wrong, nobody in the airport terminal was able to help me. God bless, I had Chinese Internet modem and after 15 min search got the proper number. After conversation with front desk staff shuttle bus was arranged. It arrived 45 min after contact with hotel instead of promised 15 min. Finally I got to the room 1.5 hours after landing. Staff guy who came with shuttle driver was definitely not happy to help me with my suitcase and clearly demonstrated me this. English of front desk staff was quite poor. Room was pretty small, to open my suitcase (of middle size) I need to block passage between bed and desk. The cleanness of the room was far from perfect, water was not draining from washing bowl.
