Ruined our vacation

The hotel overbooked. So despite us booking and already pre-paying 2 months in advance, when we showed up on New Year's Eve, my family didn't have a room. The hotel staff proceeded to make us wait 2 hours, while they tried to book a cheap replacement. It was only when I said I'd personally pay for a more expensive replacement hotel, that we were able to find lodging close to midnight.
By that time, we were exhausted, and it was too late to inform our Tuk Tuk driver of our new location, so we had thus had to miss the 1st sunrise of 2017 at Angkor Way, which we traveled half the planet to see. So they ruined what was supposed to be a highlight of our vacation.
Throughout the process, Karavansara hotel tried to bargain and solve their screwup cheaply, instead of focusing on how to help us quickly. They were truly terrible. Our experience was so bad, that I'm considering asking Hotels.com / Expedia to de-list this hotel.
