Hidden Gem
Good clean Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. A little out of the way from the main area of Siem Reap 'Pub Street' but a short Tuk Tuk ride fixed that. The roads around the Hotel are not clean and very bumpy, but the Hotel is great for its facilities and a short Tuk Tuk ride took you to the heart of Siem Reap. Good value

An excellent traditional quality hotel with space
I completely enjoyed my stay at the Lin Ratanak hotel. The hotel was kind to send their own driver to pick me up on my arrival which was a good start. The hotel is large and spacious with a spacious and elegant reception area in traditional Cambodian design. I was personally shown to my room by the reception manager which was also really very polite and welcoming. My room was excellent with a large room area, also with a very spacious big bathroom. Yes Great..! Breakfast was really quite excellent with a high quality superb large buffet, eggs cooked to choice, and the breakfast staff were very polite with impressive personal service, and again the manager on duty always asked me personally every morning if everything was to my satisfaction. This was all very hospitable and always excellent service all around in the hotel, including the swimming pool refreshment bar where the young guys there were just even amazingly helpful.. In conversation one of them asked me if all was alright with my stay at the hotel, and jokingly I said that 'Well all would be alright except that the light bulb on my bathroom mirror has gone out today, and it needs replacing...' Then amazingly when I got back up to my room one hour later, then the message had been passed, and the light bulb had been replaced...! Yes just great personal service...! The swimming pool was large and very good value, and the hotel is in a very quiet road away from the main road. Yes all was just very good.

We loved staying there. The staff were super helpful and really friendly. Nothing was an issue for them to organise, arrange or sort out. They were generous giving us free drinks, fruit after our meal and a free New Year's Day dinner. The hotel was always clean. Customer service is definitely a priority for this place and we really appreciated it.

OK but not as advertised
This hotel was ranked as a 4 star. Based on other hotels that I have stayed at in Siem Reap it is a 3 star. At one point it was probably very nice, but they have not completed regular maintenance and it is getting old. As an example, the tub was nasty and the shower head spayed in all directions. The bed was so hard, it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor. They will give you an extra thread bear duvet though. Breakfast was the same for the eleven days that I stayed and catered to Asian guests. The windows and walls are very thin and you hear everything. There is no flat screen tv, it is an old tube tv. The spa was only staffed in the evening on some days. When I asked about this I was assured some one was there. My room was close to it and I walked by each time I left my room with no one there and they never answered the phone. The “fish spa” was also nasty. The tanks are much cleaner at the market. The pool was very nice and clean. It would be nice if they had music playing and made it more festive. They use the day to do maintenance around the hotel grounds because most people are at the temples during this time. If you are looking to relax, this is not the place.

Bed bugs and no one wanted to hear about it!! Spoke with the manager but he couldn’t offer me a refund or any compensation. I have scars all over my body. How can I be happy with that!!

Great hotel
Clean, great amenities, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful staff. Walkable, if you don't mind a decent walk (took us about 30min to the centre of Siem Reap town). Would stay again.

For the price of $28 per night it was very good. However, if the normal price is over $50 I would say it is only average. It was noisy from the next door bathroom. Could hear people talking outside along the corridor. Breakfast was ok as was primarily suited for Asian customers.

Decent place
The property is dated, and the furnishing reflects it. The rooms are spacious and large, but there are challenges for foreign visitors with respect to wifi networks, service facilities in the room etc. Language skills among the management and staff- both at front office and service team leave some to be desired. When we ordered packed food for vegetarians, with complete details repeated back to us and still end up getting a meat filled meal, it is tough to know what to say and do...but, definitely a good property, even if the surrounding areas/ locality is not something much to write home about.

Value for a simple room
The room was smaller than expected, but still worth the price I showed. There really wasn't anything to do in the neighborhood, and the hotel is located at the end of a muddy and dirty alley strewn with trash so I don't suggest walking outside to the main road. There is ease in hailing a tuk tuk however, so one does not really need to venture past the driveway ever.

A wee oasis
We were greeted with friendly staff, cool towels and a juice while our booking in formalities were completed. For us the pool area was perfect in the hot conditions. The restaurant was excellent and for a night when we just wanted to sit with our feet up it was ideal. Happy hours are a bonus! The film night showing the history of Angkor Wat and area was excellent. The on site spa was great, try the Khumar herbal massage. A very well priced safe and comfortable place to stay.

Worth the money
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a bit old. We were getting picked at the airport as the hotel offered a free airport pickup which was a good offer. We only paid for $2 for tuktuk we wanted to go to pub street and night market.

Very comfiratable stay with lot of facilities
I stayed 5 of our family, two rooms 3 nights. It was a great stay. Complementary breakfast is of 5 star category and excellent. Hotel is very well maintained, staff so polite, clean spotless beddings and elegantly kept rooms. Location is a bit away from tourist spot but there is no problem as Tuk-Tuk is available throughout. It is a great value for money.

The hotel has a big potentiel, but nothing is done to push it forward. The neighbourhood is completly awful ! And the standard of the hotel is not like advertised. For the same money we can have better in the area.

A good quality hotel with a nice feel.
Lin Ratanak Angkor hotel was a good quality hotel with nice 'feel' to it. It is a medium size hotel, with tour groups from various countries, but, despite the fact that I was travelling alone, I didn't find it at all overwhelming. Usually I had the pool to myself and was also able to take breakast by the pool away from the main busy breakfast buffet area in the dining room. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices to suit the tastes of the many nationalities staying so unusual cambinations were possible. Except for the pool-side New Year's Eve buffet, which was fine, I didn't eat in, in the evening, so can't comment . The staff were very attentive and keen to please, although they failed to carry out the arranged airport pickup until I rang from the airport. [local sim cards are on sale at the airport and well worth it]. The hotel is a half hour walk from the 'old market' area in the town centre but there is a large working local market, not at all geared up for tourists, immediately outside the hotel. There is a small tuk-tuk area immediately outside the hotel. I used the same tuk-tuk driver (Mr Heng tel:017-318-250) to visit the temples, Kompong Phluk (on the lake) and to return to the airport. While a tuk-tuk for the day is not at all expensive ($15 for a short trip - $20 for a long trip), it is worth noting that if you are travelling alone and hire a boat to go to the lake from Kompong Phluk you have to pay for the whole boat ($40) rather than $20.

Location is not good, National Road 6 is a busy road, hotel is still far from the road, and far from everything, but when we got in the Lobby is really nice, the hotel looks beautiful, but once you get into the room, well the room is very big and comfortable but needs improvement, sheets are old, as well as towels, the tub had stains of paint, you could hear animal noises everywhere. Service is Very Good, Staff is really friendly but hotel needs improvement

Visited with my wife and our 3-yr old daughter. We got a very spacious room with ample space for the kid to run around. Staff was courteous (they are not very good with English so a little bit of patience goes a long way). The location is good (quite close to night market) and they will arrange tuk-tuks for you whenever you need them. However, the approach road to hotel is through a wet market which gets fetid by evening. Hold your breath for a few seconds while the tuk tuk breezes through it and you will be okay. We relished the happy hour from 1730 to 1930!... Breakfast buffet was not elaborate but decent...we had to keep reminding the staff that they had to refill some stuff... may be because it was off-season and they were stocking less supply. Personally I would have appreciated more of khmer options than continental. A couple of tips to the hotel management though.... 1. The butter you keep for breakfast buffet should improve in looks... may be you can start "cutting" it in cubes rather than "breaking" it with a hammer... LOL. 2. Change the Shampoo and Bath Foam bottles to something that is more stable and easy to use with a tight fitting lid.... will save you from a lot of wastage!!!

Enjoyable stay great value
We found the staff very helpful and the room comfortable. The swimming pool was great! There was quite a lot of noise from the bar behind the Hotel at nights. It is not in the centre of town but has a restaurant in Hotel and another close by. Easy to get around by Tuk Tuk.

Lovely hotel and clean rooms but locality to centre markets a bit far away. Tuk tuk ride needed on most outings, should only cost a couple of dollars each journey. Overall hotel nice enough for stay but be early for breakie seems like its never replenished

good value of money
this hotel is about 3 km from the city center, but they provide free pick up from airport or bus station. We changed our bus company before the day check-in and we contact the hotel to help us find the station and pick up us in time via a BENZ van. The breakfast is not so outstanding but also sufficient. room is big and swimming poor is beautiful.

A comfortable, clean and very reasonable hotel which has a lovely pool side bar for relaxing in the evenings with good wifi. Staff were helpful and attentive, although some lacked knowledge about local attractions, which caught us out a few times (we had a wasted trip to visit somewhere that wasn't open, for example). It's a good 20 minute walk to the main bar and restaurant area, but only $3 in a tuk-tuk, so not really a problem.

First time in Cambodia
The hotel was really nice and well presented although we were intitially a bit worried about the old market nearby, turned out that market was a great wander around if not a bit smelly for us delicate westeners. The hotel staff are really eager to please and most speak a little English although one or two of the waiters speak really well. The rooms are really good and clean, the breakfast is ok although the Kmher food in the restaurant is good. If you get a chance, keep a tuk-tuk driver for a full day at least and use him to get you to Angkor Wat and pub street and you will find $10 is a fair price for you and great for him. If you get to the pub street area then try Kmher Kitchen, we followed the reviews and were not disappointed

Decent Hotel for the price
The hotel is comfortable but had problems with ants. Booked two rooms one was very spacious and the other one very small. The breakfast included was very low quality. The hotel has the capacity to create nice meals since we ordered lunch for five and the food portions, quality and variety were good. They should use the same for their breakfast buffet

Lin Ratanak Angkor not so close to the centre
A very well presented hotel with great rooms and friendly staff. Although the canal taxis are close by the hotel is not close to the MRT so if you don't like the water taxi you at the mercy of tuktuk bargaining or take a normal Meter Taxi. Advice steer completely clear of the so-called "hotel taxi" they are private cars and complete rip off.'s.

Hotel Lin Ratank in Siem Reap
Stayed here July 2011 for over a week. Excellent service and very good value for money so we extended the stay twice. Location is a little removed from the main restaurant area but only a 5 min tuk tuk ride away. Good swimming pool.

The staff here were fantastic, the housekeeping was great, we have a small child and of course they can leave a mess, but our room was spotless everyday, The staff were very friendly and their English very good. for the price this hotel was great, the only down side no bacon at breakfast...

Personal emergency arose back home and I needed a notary public. They did not understand what that was or what a lawyer or solicitor was. Otherwise, hotel personnel were outstanding... friendly, courteous and as helpful as possible. Meal prices were very reasonable and I ate there every night, enjoying the "loc lac"! Room accomodations were very nice. Shower water temperature was very difficult to control and was frequently blasted with "very hot" or cold water. Cooling off at the pool after a morning of viewing the temples hit the spot. The disturbing use of "excessive amounts of acid" in the pool water burned our eyes considerably and irritated our skin and prevented our using the pool to a greater extent. Had stayed at the d'Angkor Prince Hotel during previous visit and was very inpressed! Different classes of hotels.

Lin Ratanak, a 5 star hidden under a 3 star price
This hotel was amazing. The staff were amazing. The facilities were amazing. Cambodia is amazing! The service that Cambodians in general provide is top notch. But this hotel staff went above and beyond for every little request. I asked them to help me with multiple things and was never refused any of our needs and they always did it with a smile. From check-in, where they ask for your reservation and passport then asked you to sit in the lobby as they prepared all the paperwork. They made you feel like you had arrived at a hotel that would pamper you. A few minutes later they would come up lead you to your room with a key in hand and voila you were all checked in. It was also nice to not be right in the center of town. The noise in the center of town would have been annoying. Mostly cause of what I call the war of the music. All the restaurants on pub street blast their music, so that it was a mash of top forty hits. I must of heard Miss Perry at least 8 times within an hour cause of this. Having the pool at the hotel was key to our functionality of late afternoon Angkor Wat touring. Our tuk tuk driver was kind enough to drive us back to the hotel at noon and we would eat, then go swimming and shower and go back to the temple refreshed and comfortable around 2pm. The breakfast buffet was not overwhelming yet had a great selection. They also provided us with a packed breakfast for free on the mornings that we wanted to see sunrise. Oh and the Spa. What can you say about a spa other then. AAAAhhhhhhh I would recommend to everyone that asks me that this is the place to stay!

Lin Ratanak Angkor, a comfortable hotel~
This hotel actually is quite far to the heart of town, but it's only take you about 5 mins ride by 'tuk tuk' (known as taxi). I would recommend this hotel to others, because the service was good, and inside the room is big and wide space for you to walk around. *P/S: Remember arrange your airport transfer while booking the hotel, because you will be charged highly by the airport taxi booth. $30 per ride and is just only takes you about 15 minutes time or less to arrive your hotel. Everything is fine in the hotel!

Fantastic Hotel!
Pros: The hotel is in a quiet location about 1 or 3 minutes away by tuk tuk from the hustle and bustle of the "pub street". Reception will call for transport on your behalf and free bikes are available. The pool is large enough and there is a cool bar area so you can sit by the water and have a drink and a swim after a long day touring temples. The staff were all very friendly. Cons: The room we booked although nice did not look like the room that was advertised on the travel website. Also, the hotel put us in contact with a tuk tuk driver to take us around the temples for two days. His English was great but HE WAS NOT LICENSED! This means that he can not go inside the temples with you. Instead, he made his apologies and gave us a book to read up on each temple. This really isn't ideal and we ended up paying for a couple of yours when we got there. We paid $* in total for the two days and for that price i think we could have got a licensed guide. Well worth paying for someone who is licensed in my opinion.

Lin Ratanak - comfy, clean and satisfactory
The swimming pool was a godsend at the end of a long day of touring Angkor Wat. The room was very clean and roomy. The hotel is slightly away from the centre but that just means a relaxing quiet atmosphere when you are at the end of your day.
