I can't understand why you gave 4 points to here.Posted Feb 21, 2015 on Hotels
My Siemreap trip is 4nights 5days, so 2nights are at Cafe Lodge and another 2 nights are here, Malika d' angkor boutique hotel. I had lot of disappointment. The price is more than Cafe Lodge, and exterior looked so nice but interior and room is not good. Lizards & mosquito & me belong together. Bathroom is also not good and mini bar is almost out of work. Breakfast was just so so. It's obvious "I won't stay again."

Posted Feb 17, 2015

A quaint optionPosted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: the staff and its general charm.
Cons: A bigger pool but what can you expect for the price.
Location: A bit out of town - tuk-tuks required - there are a couple of shops opposite but not much else.
4The location is a bit out of the way but the hotel has a certain charm. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are reasonable. There is a tiny pool to relax by. There are usually tuk-tuks outside to take you to the centre for $2 one-way.

Great placePosted Feb 2, 2015
About 10 min from Pub Street via tuk tuk. Great place and staff helped me with anything we needed. Laundry was air dryed and folded nicely but kind of expensive. Breakfast was kind of small but good. The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty good.

Nettes und freundliches PersonalPosted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Das nette Personal
Cons: siehe oben

This Hotel rates itself 4 star and its only 2 starPosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Not much to like.
Cons: They did offer to move one couple but claimed it was full.
We were supposed to be met at the airport and they failed to show claiming the booking was for a morning flight when it clearly showed afternoon. No apology. The room did not have anywhere near the amenities for a 4 star hotel as advertised. I have stayed in many in asia. The hotel had NO lift and we were placed on the 3rd floor. We travelled with an elderly couple, one with emphasemia and the other with a bad hip so climbing stairs is a problem for both. The air-conditioning unit was broken in our room and so noisy it kept both us and the couple travelling with us (in the next room) awake much of the night. We could not open the windows as there were no insect screens. The bed was rock hard and the pillows the same. I ended up with a stiff neck. The bathrooms had mold and the showers were dirty. The shower curtains had mold. Our friends who had the other room refused to use their shower it was so dirty. We had no hot water the first night. In one bathroom the sink had large cracks. The curtains were so worn you could almost see through them. The wardrobe had no hangers until we asked for them and we got bent well used old ones. There was no room safe (as avertisised) and bar fridge was turned off and empty. The TV was a very small CRT type about 22 inch and not flatscreen as per pics. The breakfast area was unclean with dead insects on the walls and we had flies crawling on our food which was very poorly prepared (toast was only toasted in one corner

sweet and clean hotel with very friendly teamPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: having towels at the pool a little earlier in the day
Location: short drive from the city center; Angkor Wat is close so is the Old Market and Night Market
We are two girls traveling around Southeast Asia and we basically came to Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat and had a very good time there, staying five nights. The hotel ist a little oasis located five minutes drive from the very city center. Its clean and as there are a lot of trees and palms, it makes you feel very comfortable. The pool and rooms are clean. The best thing was that the staff was so friendly and made our stay a very special one. Food is all right as well, especially breakfast is a lot to eat and quality is fine.
