Affordable Luxury Khmer Inspired Hotel

As Siem Reap (Angkor Wat visit) was the end of our holiday after Vietnam we decided to treat ourselves with 5 nights at the Shinta Mani Club and greatly looked forward to it. We were not disappointed in any way. We booked via Expedia a Superior Room with King bed and requested a room on an upper level overlooking the swimming pool; the hotel accommodated us accordingly. The room was sufficiently large and very comfortable with all the facilities we needed. Great water pressure in the shower. They provide 4 x 500ml bottles of water each day and will often replenish the water and refresh towels if they turn down the bed in the evening. The design, decor and atmosphere of this modest sized hotel (? 39 rooms) is pleasing and relaxing. Staff are friendly, polite, always helpful and willing and excel in all they do. Service is excellent. Food, including breakfast, in the Kroya restaurant is very good. We also lunched at the sister hotel Shinta Mani Resort across the road and charged lunch to our room at our own hotel. The hotel is fairly central and a tuk tuk ride to most places is only a couple of dollars (the hotel staff outside can advise how much it should cost to a destination and will call the tuk tuk driver).
