Fantastic hotel in a lovely little town

The hotel is a short walk from the car park / bus stop / taxi stop. The rooms are large and comfortable. We took one which was overlooking the countryside and the views in the morning were simply awesome.
It is very quiet and peaceful. Though the building is quite old, it is comfortable inside. There is even a lift to make it easy to move the luggage. There is no safes in the room, so if need be, use the safe in the front desk. The breakfast can be had at the adjoining restaurant which has a great view as well.
The staff is very helpful - they gave us a quick orientation about the highlights of this picturesque town. Later when we were leaving they helped to arrange the transport to the railway station. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves a number of Tuscan dishes - all of which are very well prepared.
The town of San Gimignano is small but punches well above its weight in terms of experiences. The towers and the small cobbled alleys and piazzas bring you back to the middle ages. Do not forget to try out the fantastic creations from Dondoli Gelatos which is a 5 minute stroll away. There are plenty of options to go hiking in the country side and at night this town is a photographer's delight with its yellow lights and stone buildings.
